Reminds me of a case a few years ago, when I called a company to inform them that one of their computers was being used as a malware C2 server.

"Who are you and how do you know that?!", they asked.

"Well," was my answer, "I'm a cybersecurity expert and I'm a cybersecurity expert".

Today is the day we order food for the next two weeks. When the delivery guy arrived, I told him "your computers are down, aren't they". He looked stunned. "How do you know?"

Dude, I have a 40-year-long career in cybersecurity. When I tried to access your site to see if there's a notification when you're going to arrive, I got a 503 error. That could have been just a random glitch, but it was strike one. Some time later I tried again, with the same result. It could have been some more serious problem but it was strike two. Then the company didn't send me an SMS, warning me that you're going to arrive shortly. That was strike three. Then you rang my bell directly, without calling me first to see if I'm home - so, clearly you couldn't communicate with the company's computers to get my phone number. That was strike four.

The only question remaining is, is it some kind of serious configuration error or an update gone bad - or have you been hit by ransomware.

Leave him alone, he just wants to learn.
