Yay, @protonprivacy !

Proton says it is publishing a copy of the map to keep it available to the public.

“We believe Flock’s attempts to take this map down are frivolous. Nobody confuses a map of Flock’s cameras with Flock itself. This is an attempt to suppress information, not to prevent consumer confusion,” Marc Løebekken, a head of legal at Proton, is quoted as saying.

I'm taking a vacation this week to some backpacking on the Benton MacKay Trail #BMT, so I decide to take a break from my #ADHD meds. It's only Saturday, and I'm already doing this. I just remembered that I'm off my meds and both @Leahgashe and I had an aha moment.

Are you in Incident Response? You may want to review your malware response plans.

"When the malware has a GitHub token, it installs a small service called gh-token-monitor. Every 60 seconds, for up to 24 hours, the service checks that token against the GitHub API. If GitHub rejects it, the service runs rm -rf ~/ (or a PowerShell delete of your user profile on Windows). So the obvious first move, revoking the token, is what sets it off."

I wish cars had a odometer for horn presses. How many toots has your car had?

Hey everyone, I've started a alt account, @neurodiversity, to post my research in #Neurodiversity in #Infosec. You're interested in more, give me a follow!

Man, did I have a blast at @bsidesatl. First off, I had a great showing for my talk on Neurodiversity in Security. Slide, bibilography, and my research has been posted on the BSides Atlanta discord: https://discord.com/channels/1131429246141743155/1555966595443064933

Then I got invited to record a episode of Down the Security Rabbithole Podcast (DtSR) with Rafal Los.

Then I joined the CTF put on by DC864 and got 3rd place!

Then I won a raffle and am now typing on a new Keychron v6 Max!

The Atlanta hacker scene is just amazing. It was great seeing old friends and making new ones.

Last week I attended management training at work. Got all excited about my job.

Then I come back to my job and reality sets in.

I have a safe, but boring job. It pays pretty well. They don't work me to death.

But I have zero influence to fix anything. I'm not allowed to fix any problems except my own team's problems. I haven't been on any decent projects in years, and can't get promoted because I can't get on anything impactful. They don't promote much anyway, because every new leader has to bring their cronies.

I want to accept that my job has no growth potential, because it's a safe place to be. Damn them for sending me to leadership training and getting me excited to make a difference in my career.

I am normally grossed out by a lot of AI generated images, but this one is too good.

Is there a term for #ADHD specifically for music?

I love seeing positive articles about #ENM and #polyamory. I agree with the subject of this article. Dating other people has made me value my relationship with @Leahgashe so much. It reaffirms that I've found at least one person that I look forward to getting old with. Being #Poly is so much fun. I mean, I ask my wife to go to a sex party last Friday and she was like, sure!

Jimmy Carter taught me how to fly fish.

When I was in elementary school on the south side of Atlanta, we took a field trip to the Carter Center. There's a part of the tour where they talk about how he loved fly fishing and they have a fly rod to show everyone what it's like. As the tour got to that part, we started seeing Secret Service folks. Then Jimmy Carter comes out to tell us all out fly fishing! Then he picked a few kids to come up and try, and I got to swing it around a few times. I got to shake his hand and he patted my shoulder. It was pretty amazing! So yeah, that's my story of how Jimmy Carter taught me how to fly fish.
