Im going to be on vacay soon, so I have to prepare my blogposts early and schedule them ahead…. Or should I blog from the beach?!?! Hmmmm

For the ones that have been interviewed with me, there are two camps:

1. Hate me and probably don’t want to hear about me again after some “interview grilling”
2. Would love to hang out, get some drinks, discuss algorithms and technologies we are experiencing with (yes! Geek on!!!)

I’m sorry for camp #1, but if you are camp #2 lets hang out!!!

Through my career I have been asked why don’t I ask coding questions to Mid/Senior level engineers. Some managers have been “annoyed” about this fact.

My defense is that if you have experience and I want to know how good you are, doing a binary tree or sorting algorithm problem would only tell me if you know how to code but not how experienced you are.

Using #Codex to play around for the last few weeks have shown me its #strengths and #weaknessess There is a LOT of potential, especially when you pair it with #Copilot and also take advantage of GitHub Actions…. But there is some way to go (which might not be too far away)…. I should likely start working on my next #blog #post for https://victornava.dev

I’ve been playing a LOT with ChatGPT Codex this week with personal projects I had largely abandoned…. Seems like with ChatGPT and Copilot working for me, I have a 3 people company now

Sometimes #God uses sin to teach us something, it still doesn’t make #sin something “ok” to do, regardless of the outcome

HUGE #Accomplishment of the day!

- Made a big release #Nope
- saved the company a few million dollars #Nope
- Taught my daughter to ride a bike without training wheels! #YES!!!!

Well, bike won’t happen today… seems like it will be raining. But we had a good day yesterday with lots of rest and house cleaning a bit (my macaron mess).

I don’t really like to plan the 1st day of the week as it is reserved for the #Lord, so I don’t have any plans for tomorrow but going to get together with His people to have #fellowship and raise #hymns and #songs on His name

But… Monday my main objective would be to hopefully finish the #macarons, assemble my kid’s new #bike and teach her how to ride without wheels as that’s what she really seems to want

Well, seems like 2 trays were messed up on my macarons… but still good flavor so I will use them even when they are not perfect

Another good day, didn’t accomplished all I wanted but worked out for the best and the kids had a lot of fun

Speaking of spending…. My kid’s new bike just got here

Store sells macarons at $5dlls each… that means I’m making about $350 worth of macarons today…… that doesn’t sound like a bad business, I could even give them at half price and still have a good profit for the kids to spend in 10mins

They’ve got feet… not perfect but will do the trick

I way behind schedule with the #macarons, seems like #sourdough will have to wait 😆 all because I didn’t woke up as early as I wanted

Plan for tomorrow:
- wake up and have my coffee
- Bake macarons (at least 40)
- Bake sourdough or at least start the process (the one I had went bad 😔)
- take a shower around noon
- go to have BBQ given the wife asked for it
- Take the kids to watch Stitch
- Chill out

I hope plan works 🤣 I feel the macarons are pushing me out of schedule

Today was a GREAT day! I didn’t #worked, did some time to do #gardening, played my #guitar for a couple hours, went with the kids to have #pizza, bought some #clothes, then went to #GuitarCenter to play guitars I can afford but won’t get because I’m a “responsible” #adult, then took the kids to #petsmart to see animals

Wrapping up with drinking a glass of my favorite #wine while doing dishes and waiting for my wife to get the kids to sleep so we can eat chips while watching #tv
