#solotober starts today, and I will attempt to go through it with #MarvelUnited solo playthroughs! Since I need to run 31 games, I decided to loosely use the #MCU (chronological order) as the backbone to decide on heroes and vilains. I’ll have to skip some movies because of lack of matching minis, and I’ll substitute/add heroes as needed. Wish me luck, #Marvel and #boardgames geeks.
#solotober 2024 day 1: Captain America (classic), Winter Soldier, Captain Carter vs Red Skull (inspired by Captain America: First Avenger) No Peggy or Bucky minis in the game, so I subbed with their super-counterparts. Not movie-accurate, but I reckon it works! I also used the version of Captain America from the Civil War box instead of the “regular” one in the MU core box, as it felt more in line with the historical setting.
#solotober 2024 day 2: Hulk, She-Hulk vs Abomination (Inspired by The Incredible Hulk, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law)
The game requires at least two heroes, so I didn’t stick to the movie and picked She-Hulk as a team mate for her cousin.
#solotober 2024 day 3: Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor vs Loki (inspired by Avengers)
The Avengers roster is large and I had to make though choices and cut it down to 4, the max number of heroes for a #MarvelUnited team.
#solotober 2024 day 4: Star-Lord + Cosmo, Gamora, Nebula vs Ronan (inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy)
First time using one of the pet companions. Excited about it!
#solotober 2024 day 5: Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye vs Scarlett Witch + Quicksilver (inspired by Avengers: Age of Ultron)
Let’s see if we can convince these two to join our ranks against the robot.
#solotober 2024 day 6: Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver, Thor, Hulk vs Ultron
Will the bad robot manage to tear the Avengers apart and assert control over the population?
