Even though I'd like to see a statement banning LLM contributions more generally even if the copyright issue is resolved, I'll take this ban as sufficient for the moment. If this ban can hold for a year or so, we'll likely see the financial AIpocalypse and it will be easier to get a more principled policy. Meanwhile I can start working on switching my laptop.

now if they'd only do like debian did a few years ago and release an installer with nonfree firmware.... the few times I've tried to go guix the process of getting it to work on my hardware -- involving adding "nonguix" repos -- was a bit too much
the impression I got is that practically every guix user uses these unofficial repos but nobody is allowed to talk about them, and the sources of information about how to use them are all pretty out of date
