We regrouped at the parking lot where, to my delight, the little girl serving hot chocolate from a cargo bike was back.
Made it home safe and once again handled the hills to my satisfaction (i.e. didn't have to get off and walk the bike).
Thanks for following along everyone! Will write this up for the blog soon.
