October is Black History Month in the UK.
Black History in the UK is incredibly complex and underrepresented. This month, take time to learn more about the struggles black and mixed-race people have faced through British history.

@newsmast My grandmother was from Ceylon in those days. My grandfather was British. He worked in Malaya under the British as a warden in Pudu Prison. After his death, my grandmother was told that being 'black' she was not capable of raising her kids, so they were all sent to a boarding house. She returned to Malayia and managed to raise her kids... my mother was one.
@newsmast British people are the one who abolished slavery! Why aren't you talking about millions of British who were enslaved by the Africans.
