    @Tiezep

    The issue I identified above is not “the Democratic Party contains neoliberals.”

    I don’t blame you for not trying to articulate a positive argument for the Democrats, because there really isn’t one that anyone can make, for structural reasons.

    @HeavenlyPossum primaries are the literally the vehicle to change the democratic party, we can take it back but you have to participate

    Are you not capable of engaging with what I actually wrote, or are you simply ignoring me so you can yell at a strawman?

    @HeavenlyPossum "because neoliberalism no longer even pretends to legitimize the capitalist status quo. There is simply no room left for a positive vision, only opposition to something “worse.”

    yep, and I have been providing the answer to your problem, primaries are the mechanism to remove the neoliberals that are problematic, if you don't participate in the primaries then neolibs win/keep their seats, you refuse to acknowledge that

    I participated and I get to vote for Abdul, excited for that

    @Tiezep

    The problem the Democrats face is not that their party “contains neoliberals.” The problem they face is that they are an instrument of a neoliberal system that no longer has access to the resources it needs to even pretend to fix problems.

    This is why you can’t articulate a positive vision for the Democrats.
