    In this thread, please post pictures of interspecies friendships.

    (Ones where none of the involved friends is a human!)

    A large male Australian water dragon (a grey and black striped lizard with a rust-red belly) rests his head on the back of a tabby housecat. Both animals look relaxed and comfortable.

    (The lizard is an Australian water dragon, the cat is a common housecat. The lizard used to live with me, but he didn't get along with my other lizard, so a friend of mine adopted him. He made fast friends with her cat, and the two ended up sharing basking and hiding spots,, and if they'd been separated for some reason they'd run to meet each other.

    Sadly both animals have passed away, but they both lived to quite respectable ages for their species and both died peacefully of age-related causes.)
