Currently, hundreds of GW of residential solar power are controlled by terribly insecure & unregulated clouds owned by companies continents away. This problem is well known & could take down the whole European energy grid. We just had a conference about it, and still nothing is happening. Here's my writeup: https://berthub.eu/articles/posts/solar-nightmare-at-the-conference/ #ENISA #NIS2 #CRA
@bert_hubert I take it that unknown hackers messing with supermarket refrigerators almost enough to cause fires is not enough incentive.
Oct 14, 2026, 7:31 PM@bert_hubert removed my PV converter network connection immediately (will also improve the security of my home network). Why would you want to know your PV results in an App?
Thanks for this.
(Sigh)
Central govt: 'everyone must do their part! Recycle! Save energy! Etc!'
People: (install the only solar kit that's affordable and works)
Central govt: 'No, not like that!'
Fossil fuel types: hand over fat envelope of used notes.
