    Saw the gp, discussed my complete lack of immunity to basically every childhood illness there is and today I got vaxxed for COVID, Flu, Chickenpox, measles, mumps and Rubella. I just looked at her and said "I'm going to feel like absolute trash tomorrow, huh?" And she said "yes that is correct." Props for her telling it to me straight. And yes it's ideal to spread vaccines out, but because of transportation and communication challenges I'm not able to do that so I got it all in one giant Vaccine buffet. Now I'm off to work!

    @pawpower Wow! Even the ones we all had to get as kids like measles, mumps and rubella? Wow! It wouldn’t have occurred to me that they’d make anyone get those again.

    @blindbat84 @pawpower Yeah. I was researching because of this conversation. Now, I've got more shit to talk to my GP about. *sigh* I had my MMR but supposedly those of us born in the 70s when we got our shots in the 80s we may not have gotten enough. And apparently if you had a mild case of the chicken pocks which I did you're also not immune to that now either. I know several who have had shingles and I don't want that either.

    @amy0223 @pawpower My GP tested me because I'm in a narrowly defined age group that could lose immunity and it turned out I had no immunity to mumps so I had to have the MMR again as well

    @pawpower Yikes, that's a doozey. I had flu and Covid vaccines last Wednesday and had a rough 48 hours, but I know that still beats Covid and flu.

    I like your GP, telling it straight and being pragmatic is very helpful.

    @pawpower This year I had both flu and Covid on the same day and my reaction was milder than in the past so hoping the best for you tomorrow!
