@lydialurch Makeup is definitely another art form 😊 I'm really amazed at some of my MUA friends' skills with that. I'm not as talented in that art arena. I admire the ones with better MUA skills 💗

@lydialurch I suffered from lack of self esteem/self confidence for a long time. It was mostly due to childhood to early adulthood bullying - constantly being targeted, being told I'm a useless gimp, being told I'm ugly & no one would want to ever date me, being told a lot of really cruel shit, targeted at my visible disability & my very Asian looks. Neither were things that I could change because they're essential parts of who I am, as an individual.
Plus, I was being exploited without knowing it, by some mean girls who I naively thought were my friends, before I learned what friends really are & are not. I was looked down upon/bullied relentlessly through many of my young school years. In late teens to early adulthood, mean girls would exploit me(I was unaware of that at the time & thought they were being nice/including me) because I was good platonic friends with many guys that they had crushes on. They used me to get connected to guys but they never really respected or treated me with true kindness/true friendship. They saw/treated me as the 'cool enough gimp girl' - who they'd drop as soon as they got what they wanted from me. They used to abandon me in nightclubs & I developed mass anxieties about going to nightclubs for over a decade. They harmed my wellbeing. I am so glad to have grown far beyond all of my former bullies.
It took me decades to learn how to fully love myself. That's a huge reason that I take no shit from anyone these days. I have already put in the work & it was a lot of hard personal work to get where I am now, mentally & emotionally. I am proud of who I am, fully, now.

@PhoenixSerenity I think you're amazing and you were probably already so much smarter and cooler than those girls could even hope to become that it hurt their sad little brains to think of it. You're right to be proud of who you are now. I was also bullied for different reasons and the thought of having that kind of kid is one reason I never gave birth. Wrapping you up in a virtual hug for you as a child and an adult as well.🫂
