One more photo from the hike, I wrote about on my blog.

It's not the best photo, but - if I remember correctly - it was the first time I saw a black salamander in the wild. So it's more for my memories. But .. they don't seem to be very common, I just wanted to share it with you.

A striking emerald lizard basks in dappled sunlight, its sleek body coiled gracefully atop a mossy log. The vibrant green scales shimmer with subtle hints of blue along its sides, contrasting beautifully with the earthy browns and soft greens of the forest floor. Delicate ferns and broad-leaved plants frame the scene, their fresh foliage glistening with morning dew. The air feels cool and still, carrying the quiet hum of woodland life. Sunlight filters through the canopy above, casting gentle shadows that dance across the lizard’s textured skin as it remains perfectly poised, a fleeting jewel in nature’s tranquil embrace.
