    Noticed a warning when installing Tor Browser for Windows? ⚠️ Our installer’s signing certificate expired. While we renew it, our website will serve version
    15.0.20 for Windows users. After installation and on first run, the browser will download the latest version and install it on next launch. This avoids the expired certificate warning. Read about the new release and this temporary change: blog.torproject.org/new-releas

    @torproject

    actually, it's just the newer version of smartscreen that's blocking it.

    "Smart app control" which up until recently is turned off my default for almost everyone

    you can't turn it on without re-installing windows and you can't turn it off without reinstalling windows

    @torproject on windows, does windows copilot see and steal information run through tor?
    So if you're a whistle blower, or something, it's no longer a protected network?

    Year 2026. IT gurus around the world, from companies big and small, still refuse to set the bloody alarm for certificate renewal. WHILE yapping on Oh HoW sEcUrItY iS iMpOrTaNt.
    And somehow Bill Gates is still the one and the only IT villain here...
