I had that thing happen today when a car stopped to let me cross a fairly large road. I've seen folks talk about how annoying and unsettling that is, and I didn't really get how this was a bad thing until I was standing there in the street with this woman blocking one of two lanes with people piling up behind and flying around her.

She was so busy insisting that I cross the road that she was wholly unaware of the incredibly dangerous situation she created, and she made sure to let me know how stupid she thought I was as she moved on.

These feckless hayseeds are so goddamned lucky I don't have any real power.
