    Hello world 😊!
    I finally joined mastodon after years of avoiding social media platforms.
    Mastodon was recommended to me by a friend who understands my hesitation and wariness about these sites.

    Now a bit more about myself, I love cats and nature, and pretty much every animal over large groups of human beings !😂
    I like to draw and sketch (hence my first posts), as well as sing playing the piano and tatting lace. I’m very science oriented and am interested in a wide range of subjects.

    @em_and_future_cats Welcome aboard. Mastodon requires some patience as you build up your feed by following interesting hashtags and people. It's well worth the effort as there's some great content and wonderful people on here.

    @em_and_future_cats Your comment about large groups of people reminds me of a Jane Goodall comment I wrote down from a radio interview I heard in 1999.

    When interviewer Terry Gross asked Jane Goodall whether she likes chimps more than people, her reply was that chimps and people are so similar, "I like some people more than some chimps, and some chimps more than some people".
