it's not 3 million (yet) but I bought a video game recently so only fair the thing that powers all of my computers gets a fair treatment as well <3

you know what, I'll go donate to #KDE just to spite this now 😤

Just learned about OpenWrt One router a few weeks ago and it has just arrived! It's beautiful and I'm excited to set it up and finally control my home network stack 😌

Aother brilliant documentary by Johnny Harris. This time on Oligarchy and there are a few surprising things in there, check it out 👇

Safety guards on Fable are so bad it almost feels like satire.

Another angle

Look at this thing - what is that?

Very good workshop on how easy it is to make biochar

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svNg5w7WY0k

TIL what is Biochar. It's basically introducing carbon to soil and it's such a brilliant example of #permaculture

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qVcEvKEfGc

Was traveling in Thai country side this weekend and we have a lot of laterite here (red, iron rich soil) where locals tend to correct for it with bio mass like coconut husks as temporary solution which made me wonder what is a more permanent solution? And that's just biochar - literally almost inverse of everything laterite is!

So many sunbirds in my garden this year and it's definitely my bird of 2025! They're really fun to have around as they are incredibly active and pleasantly noisy 🤗

Having a rooted android device with man-in-the-middle http capture using #httpToolkit is so much fun. It's crazy how much evil shit the apps are up to 🤯

https://httptoolkit.com/

ALWAYS use the website instead of the app if possible.

Btw this is the comic that triggered the trolls and it's 🔥🔥🔥

I'm 100% convinced Tiktok is pushing russian propaganda now.

No matter how hard I down-vote the propaganda comments somehow they are served higher than comments with 20x the upvotes/engagement for days now since Trump started the beef with Zelenskyy.

There's no way my algorithm would choose that if it wasn't manipulated.

Incredibly disappointed by #openAI once again.
Restricting access to the best models at 200$ tier which is basically inaccessible to majority of the world is straight opposite of their public "goals".

Time to abandon openAI entirely. This company has been doing nothing but prove themselves to be liars and deceivers and frankly I'm just ashamed for falling for it.

Another nail in the coffin to this "public good" meme company structure and I hope people on #blueSky are paying attention here.

Can someone recommend me a good IT/tech/programming related podcast? Can be software, Linux, security or tech in general.

I listen to Hacked¹ for security news and Real Python² for ocassional #python coverage. For pop tech I listen to Vergecast³ and Decoder⁴ which are brilliant in their own right.

Would be great to extend this list!

As a casual naturalist, one thing I've stopped doing is using place-based names for animals which helps recognize non-human species with their own unique identity.

This is the Changeable Lizard — known for its ability to shift its skin color to match its environment.

Previously known as:
- Oriental Garden Lizard
- Indian Garden Lizard
- Asian Ground Lizard

Isn't Changeable Lizard just a straight up better name?

Hey American friends. It's your turn to defeat fascism and the world is rooting for you! 🤞

Apple base models now ship with 16GB RAM base. Not even a year after the whole "8GB is enough" drama.

I don't understand how people trust this company when they constantly gaslight their users and never take any responsibility. I hope people remember this when Apple inevitably joins the AI race.
