hello all I want to have images on my website to be dithered or don't show the image at first but give them the orginal image if they click on the button below the image (I don't have anything for this now) and no javascript.
because I want to reduce the bandwidth a person would need to spend while loading the page.
:blobhaj_reach:
I was at PravConf last week, I traveled like more than 100 hours in total for this (almost whole India). It was amazing.
- Clicked awesome pictures with @ravi
- gave talks,
- talked with lots of new people
- helped in organizing the conference
- cut stickers (some of them were not even used :neofox_pensive:)
- ran a workshop on hosting a xmpp server on raspberry pi along with @badrihippo :berd:
- showed cool android apps to folks
- flexed my keyboard ( it is invisible :ashinobu_dab:)
- showcased my keitai (flip phone)
- acquired transparent umbrella :neofox_sign_aaa:
- solo traveled to kanniyakumari
- Had random fun with @contrapunctus @libreinator, Vishnu, Abhijeet, kannan, Ranjith, Ganesh, Nik :moomin_hattifatteners:
- had amazing south indian food
- made friends :moomin_flower:
- ate home made food (I felt so happy at that time)
- learnt so many new things
“I was happy" :moomin_flower2:
I could go on and on, so let's stop here, but I would like to thank everyone who made me feel so welcomed there, especially @athulvis for just being there at every point and the food was awesome :tealheart:
I should write a blog post about it (famous last words) and if you want to PravConf pics, go to @prav
the permacomputing gathering was so cool :neofox_sign_aaa: :tealheart: , thanks n
to all the people/organizers :D
Also will update what I have been doin soon :moomin_butterfly:

🌍️
Anyway, day went so fine, sleeping :neofox_up__w_:, enjoying with family :flan_pats: and just chiling :tealheart:
Here's to many more :moomin_mlady:
It is with great pleasure I announce that I have finally published my MiniDebConf experience post :moomin_butterfly:, Its been sitting in a local directory for over 2 months :neofox_sign_aaa:. With this I have also moved my forest to a new theme :moomin_flower:. And one other thing, Its now 100% Emacs, yes... EMACS my beloved! :tealheart:. I put a lot of work into this, writing a post is very hard, I am very bad at articulating paragraphs but hope to get better in the future. There is also a plug for Nodus Tollens in There :ashinobu_dab:
So i completed "また、同じ夢を見ていた (I Had That Same Dream Again)".
oof what a ride, in this a grade schooler sets to find out what "happiness" means to her, and i loved how this pans out. I very well did not expect that :moomin_butterfly:
I will write a full review on my site sometime in the future :moomin_flower:
What should i read next?, see the post I replied to :moomin_mlady:
Went to a Book fair, bought 15 books :moomin_mlady: , I know too many... but i believe you can't never have enough books, I will first read `また、同じ夢を見ていた` , I really liked “I want to eat your pancreas" :tealheart: :moomin_flower:
So I gave my "Permacomputing: A Humane computing paradigm" :tealheart: talk yesterday at minidebconf, kanpur. We had to face lot of difficulties due to the local organizers :columbo:. But in the end my talk went fine :D , I at least made one person curious about permacomputing and had lots of fun, So I guess We can conclude "Nodus Tollens" was Introduced to the world successfully :moomin_butterfly:

MAJOR ANNOUCEMENT!!!
I along with @kishy have started Indian Permacomputing Collective called Nodus Tollens, and we are gonna kick things off by presenting "Permacomputing: A Humane Computing Paradigm" talk in the upcomping minidebconf, kanpur² . Please go REGISTER if can visit there.
So I asked @j3s this also want you ask you all the folks here who are more versed into permacomputing than me:
- "How should I introduce `permacomputing` to someone who is fully into current freedom destroying technologies?"
The talk will be around 15 min + 5 min for q&a.
So please give your inputs, how can I condense this very vast topic, I know this will be very hard but still I would want to make atleast someone curious about this via my talk.

do anyone in my timeline know someone or work at igalia?
I have some questions regarding the Igalia coding experience:
I was cool but now I am in different league, I have this keitai with me for quite sometime, I should write a blog post about this.
I had also made a XMPP/Jabber group for cool things like this -> https://invite.joinjabber.org/#keitai@groups.durare.org%3Fjoin
So Guix v1.5.0 has been released after 3 years. let's go!!!
« During that time, Guix received about 71,338 commits by 744 people »
Glad to be one of those 744 people
https://guix.gnu.org/en/blog/2026/gnu-guix-1.5.0-released/
_I put nix tag because people on other side should also know about this :P_
So, in couple of hours 2025 will end..
This post is an ongoing tradition of mine that I do at the end of each year.
- Met many new amazing & crazy people
- Gave my first conference talk. (o^▽^o)
- Started volunteering at Prav cooperative #prav
- #emacs , yes
- yep, failed alot again, like alot...
- Got introdcued to #guix , started using it and contributing to it
- Started participating in the Floss community.
- #mentalhealth is kinda okay, but still need care
- Got introduced a million new things (yeah, I am pretty dumb)
- Started learning #guitar ( I can play simple barre chords now :)
- Helped organise bunch of events ( I am good at tnis...)
- #books , #indeweb , #fedi as usual.
- Had many shitty days ( 2025 was bad on many aspects )
- Got a #keitai :)
- Rebased two years worth of changes in an android.. (yes I am proud of this little thing ) #git
- Still learning to program ( _How can I one be so bad they didn't learn it in one year?_)
- started learning #Japanese ( I currently just know Hiragana, Katakana and some phrases) and made a Jabber/Xmpp community around that .
The list will go on if I try to remember it again, but yeah, I won't do that. One of the things I want to do in 2026 is to meet new people and have many experience while learning and doing things. As that will be the year I will be out of college and need to take responsibility of things ( This is scary ).
The previous 2024 post was very short, because of the character limit....
So attended emacsconf this weekend, I was just smiling all the time, I mean who wouldn't, when bunch of emacs people come together and talk about emacs :tealheart: :flan_heart:
Thanks to all the organizers for making this an pleasant experience
Its party time because I have got my first domain, I will soon change the whole structure of my forest, I have so many things to share :)
