I am SO fking sick of Entry Level job postings with requirments of 2 year, 3 years, 5 years experince.
F.U.! What you mean is we want someone experienced, who can jump right in, but we want to pay you shite.
Cut the B.S., just say you want to underpay and undervalue applicants. 🤬

Happy Pythagorean Triple Day to those who celebrate (10-24-26, or if you're in a sensible part of the world, 24-10-26)

By the way: I do not know who on God's green earth (@Jorsh perhaps?) told me about this game but thank you whomever:

This is a good person. Would be great if she can get help.

US states where it's illegal to pump your own gas

It's kind of amazing. As a kid I always thought that by the time I reached my relatively advanced age (at this point close enough as dammit to being 140_base 6) I would have settled into my career, been at peace with things, maybe looked forward to retirement.

Other than the last, none of these have happened. In fact, not only have the others _not_ happened, they have failed to happen to a degree that I honestly would not have believed possible. My choice of career path has produced something like the world's simultaneously most boring and most infuriating "Choose Your Own Adventure" book. And "at peace"? Um, <gestures wildly at everything>, no.

On the bright side, I do have a guitar. So at least there's that.

Maybe this is just #monday talking. But what a Monday it has been.

As a proud (?) #genX I heartily (??) endorse this message

Can moving to a new place help us forget the past and find fresh happiness? The main question is: How successful are we when we try to start a new life? Can we really leave our past behind? And most importantly, can we find that happiness we are looking for?

Went to see Improvised Shakespeare Company tonight. Hilarious and oh, so talented. 💯 recommend.

This is fantastic.

So. And I cannot believe I'm asking this utterly clichéd question here, but. And I apologize in advance.

Should I upgrade my Ubuntu install to 26.04.1 from 24.04.5? I have an ancient laptop, no NVIDIA stuff, basically use it to play games on Steam, surf the web, and use LibreOffice.

And for goddess's sake, don't tell me to install a different distro. I. Do. Not. Care.

TIA

Hi, I'm new on #beige party, time for an #introduction:

I'm on a rampage of kindness, tired of a society that tells us not to cheer about each other. If I tell that I love you — it's non-sexual, probably I just like you very much.

I don't read toots, I read people. Whatever beauty or strength lurks in the shadows, I'll illuminate and celebrate. Stop me if I'm intimidating, I appreciate direct feedback.

Darkness and light are a couple. I love their love. I can love flowers and metal. Sometimes, rampage is kind.

Caution:
May freak out on audio. Say one word and I know who you are.

I don't mute nor do I skip over messages in my feed; usually read every single message of everyone I'm following. I may skip over long texts or not play a video, but I won't let a message go unnoticed.
There's lots of folks I like but don't follow if I can't handle the number of their toots. Pardon me. I'll read selected toots when boosted by others, and I'll read all your replies, _because_ you're not on mute. Love you being around!
