I have a new game: when I see a list of "bug fixes" from anywhere I try to guess which were caused by vibe coding. Often it's pretty obvious.

Here's a really good song that does mention gems, but not in the title.

"Take your baby by the wrist
And in her mouth, an amethyst
And in her eyes, two sapphires blue
And you need her and she needs you"

Update: Media lie, no helmet storage at bike lots. Still worth biking to the Fair.

Awesome, the Minnesota State Fair is improving the bicycle parking, better racks and now helmet storage. I've been carrying my helmet with me since I started biking to the Fair:

"Folks who bike to the Fair will find new bike racks and expanded capacities at each of the Fairgrounds’ three free bike lots...Secure helmet storage is also available..."

So this is neat (not really). Apple created a SwiftUI view simply called "List". Fine, but I'm trying to figure out how to make a "list" that's limited to five rows tall regardless of how much data is in the list, and because of Apple's generic name it's impossible to do a web search for "swiftui list that's a fixed number of rows".

(Not to mention I'm working on macOS and running into 90+% iOS examples, but that's a known struggle.)

Update: added an example window that shows what I'm going for, taken from macOS Finder.

I just discovered the Fediverse (English) Wikipedia page has a huge section on AT Protocol and I question why. It seems like excessive promotion of Bluesky and its protocol that is not compatible with ActivityPub, both technically and in spirit. Illustrating bridging isn't the same as compatibility. Might as well add sections for other random network protocols like XMPP (Jabber).

Let's get right to the core of this week's theme…

The Chemical Brothers – Go (feat. Q-Tip)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO2RPDZkY88

#TuneTuesday #TravelSongs

Songs that contain temple or church in the title or lyrics…

"Waiting for a word
Looking at the milky skyline
The city is my church (city is my church)
It wraps me in its blinding twilight"

M83 – Midnight City

Here's another song that fits right into this week's theme.

Asian Dub Foundation – 1000 Mirrors (feat. Sinéad O'Connor & EOB)

Day 21: Warm! Finally warm weather for spring, at least for a few days. Unfortunately I had obligations and couldn't go for a ride until near dark, which was too short.

Day 13: A major storm was brewing nearby, moving closer as I rode. I managed to finish my ride before the storm struck.

Today, songs with a connection to green and/or nature.

The Cure – A Forest

Today, songs about bicycles. 🚲

I've always liked Max Raabe and Palast Orchester even though the music is impossible to get in the US.

This song is literally about riding a bicycle.

Max Raabe – Fahrrad fahr'n

#TuneTuesday #PedalPowerSongs

Music that lets loose rage inside.

This is a song I've often played at loud volumes.

Tears for Fears – Shout

#TuneTuesday #RipAndTear

Here's a song that embodies everything about the 2 Tone (aka ska revival) sound, which is a fusion of ska, reggae, punk, and new wave.

The Specials – A Message To You Rudy

#TuneTuesday #SteppingStonesSongs

Theme today: songs with any of the do, do, dos, the la, la, las, the scats, yodels, dowops etc.

Here's one that stretches the concept. It's a song about how American English sounds to non-English speakers, and all of it is gibberish.

Adriano Celentano – Prisencolinensinainciusol

#TuneTuesday #NonLexicalVocals

Today, songs containing unusual instrument, vocal, or clash of genres.

Here's a taste of a "found objects" band that's been part of the Twin Cities music scene for decades, they even have a star at First Avenue.

Savage Aural Hotbed – May Day 2016 Celebration in Powderhorn Park

Today, songs about the beach. 🏖️

As much as I like this song, I wasn't planning to choose it but then I came across this video. This is an amazing performance video.

The B-52's – Rock Lobster

#TuneTuesday #AtTheBeach

An obvious but fun song that never gets old.

Bananarama – Cruel Summer

I knew this day was coming. I've tried to avoid (for now) Swift 6 concurrency, but Xcode finally has other ideas.

I have absolutely no idea how to address this "main actor-isolated" issue with NSHostingView() where I'm trying to return an NSView of my SwiftUI view.

The NSHostingView() initialization is being done in a method of an "open class Something: NSObject".
