Microsoft can get fucked multiple ways to Sunday, but the Win 11 forced switchover caused me to buy a gaming PC at Costco (need that shit to run the radiology PACS) right before the memory and GPU shortage hit.

So, who wants to share recipes for cozy fall soup?

In case you are wondering what emergency medicine in the US is like — I missed something on a lab test, and I sent the case in for quality review. My boss came back and said “Yeah, after my first lawsuit I became paranoid about checking that stuff before discharge”.

So yeah. Anyway. We make mistakes. But also…

Portillo, who became a US citizen in 2013, “says agents did not show him a warrant.”

“I feel frustrated and helpless because I couldn’t do anything,” he said. “In fact, I couldn’t sleep last night. They didn’t just take me out of the truck; they pointed a gun at my face.”

Fuckers. ICE injured a developmentally delayed CA high school student before detaining him. Masked agents released him after injuring his wrists so severely that he required surgery.

Can’t argue. No notes.

My favorite thing is going to an urgent care and having them ask me to sign forms on an electronic signature pad where I can’t actually see the forms or where my signature is landing. Like sure, you say it’s the consent to treat, but…

The country that wants to land humans on the moon just needs to recruit Republican scientists from America. I mean, hell, when we recruited nazi rocket scientists in 1945 it worked…

People we should publicly execute:

Thanks.

(And in case some dicknozzle wants to drop shit in there, it’s nobody)

(And and, yeah, I don’t think Trump or Hitler or Putin or whomever deserves it. Fuck ‘em. Lock them in a hole forever.)

So will the Finns live up to their Polandball reputation and stab Google in the face while shithoused, or will they let their forests be cut down like Americans?

spooky month continued

I’m not saying it’s impossible that this “voting machine switches to Repub” story isn’t an intentional thing, but the one video I’ve seen shows that the screen is simply not aligned with the “button”. It isn’t switching anything, the area the touch sensor thinks is where you clicked is just not actually aligned with the text you tried to click. Happens all the time on crappy apps on tablets and so forth. Hell, my SE that I’m on right now does that sometimes.

MAGA are vandals. They destroy everything they touch. Whisky Pete fumbled it again, and they wouldn't even have told us if WaPo hadn't broken the story.

Since Collins thinks Manchin has solid independent cred, it’s a good time to remind people that Joe Manchin’s daughter ran up the price of epinephrine autoinjectors (Epipens) around 300% for no reason beyond pure profit. She is responsible for the preventable death of many children and adults. Joe Manchin facilitated this, and protected her in Congress. Fuck Joe Manchin and his yacht.

Trump gets Putin to free one hostage, after Russian intel and support killed multiple US servicemembers in the Middle East, and Russian strikes kill dozens of civilians every week in Ukraine, and we’re all supposed to cheer. He’s a fucking embarrassment.

“Why are all of these evil billionaires…”

Well, let’s start with the billionaire part. Would someone who hasn’t a phenomenal asshole just keep accumulating wealth after the first couple hundred million? They don’t need it. They can’t use it. A human with empathy and a desire to do good would be spending it lifting others out of suffering.

If you see someone stealing diapers….no you didn’t. If you see someone stealing formula or baby food…no you didn’t. And if someone is…the police needs to find out, compassionately, what to do about that. I’ve bought diapers for women, and food. I’ve seen women steal diapers….but it could have been a hallucination from the rank farts people rip in the Walmart aisles. I can’t be sure. This isn’t how civilized society addresses this. #News https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/mississippi-ag-says-police-shooting-killed-1-year-old-was-justified-rcna604424

So, today I was informed that my current employment is terminated. This implies that I will be looking for a new job. I know it might be a stretch, but I thought why not give #GetFediHired a try. Due to many circumstances, it has to be a full-time position in #Denmark. 🇩🇰

I can bring my senior expertise in IT security and vulnerability research. We can, of course, discuss related roles as well. You can find my profile at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/infosecdj/

I can also market my decapping and deprocessing skills, but I fear the market depth for that is in single digits. :-) But if someone has interest, please feel free to have a look at http://infosecdj.net/ for what I was able to do in my home lab!

Of course, any and all boosts will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Lol. Tommy was a plant, and was unprepared. Whomp whomp.

Remembering the time someone tore the “Stop bombing hospitals” sticker off my truck in the hospital provider parking behind the ER.
