I'm having flashbacks to a few summers ago. I was hired for the summer to help reduce the amount of tickets in the backlog but I ended up creating way more of them as I documented all the issues I discovered while fixing the original ones.
I feel the same now as I think I've created more issues than I've written fixes so far.
Yesterday, a flaky test took me on a debugging journey.
A test that fails seemingly randomly and never when you're focusing on just that test can be a difficult one to pin down.
I wrote a blog post about how I approached the situation and narrowed down the case to where I was able to consistently make it fail or succeed — and then find out why it did so and eventually fix it.

Currently a shared note looks like this:
I still need to work on better styling and removing things like Obsidian wikilinks from the output and set up a good way for copying assets but for 90% of the use cases, it's already good to go.
So happy with that.
I keep a lot of good notes as I work through things. Sometimes it would be nice to share a single note with someone online.
Today, I built a prototype for a system that allows me to do just that.
1. I run a custom plugin command in Obsidian.
2. The currently open note gets rendered into a website project and deployed to a server.
3. A URL to it is copied to my clipboard.
4. I can share it with a friend and easily share my thoughts.
It's rough on the edges but I already love it.

On macOS, Mole can clear out your .venv and venv dirs, in case you have old certifi.

I had such a fun afternoon today figuring out the root cause and a fix for a flaky test (I hate flaky tests).

Days like these, I'm so glad my websites are static sites.
