I've just had an interesting time fixing an underground water pipe, where I interacted with a frog, a toad, a vole, and a robin.
Unfortunately only the robin was pleased with the encounter, though the others were fine, once I'd moved them to safety.

I've taken to asking people at places that want my personal data, (doctors, dentist etc...), if they have heard of #palantir
Most haven't, and look at me sideways when I explain what they do.
Today I was the one looking sideways at them, as the assistant cheerfully replied, "Yes! I have shares in them." 🤦‍♂️

Just found out Ladybirds give off a chemical to ward off predators. I imagine that might be unpleasant, even to a creature much bigger than the Ladybird.

I found a dead #Ladybird in my coffee this morning, and it tasted weird.
I've felt increasingly ill all day, so I researched their toxicity, and they carry a #fungus, and STD, but neither 'should' effect humans, but boy am I feeling rough 🥴

Twice this week I've come across a deer whilst walking in the woods.
I always stand stock still, to try and get a look at them.
The first one was a Roe deer, so medium sized, and was quite curious.
I spoke to it and it listened, walking around me at about 50 feet away, before eventually running off.
The second, today, was a Muntjack, so small.
Again very curious and from about 100 feet away walked directly toward me until it got to 20 feet away.
Oddly, its feet clicked as it walked!
It then wandered off, back onto looking for food I guess.
