Well, @things did a great implementation of integrating with Siri AI. Well done, Cultured Code team!

This morning, I said to my wife, “I’m going to wear my @daringfireball shirt to the Apple Store, so they know I’m not messing around.”

The specialist helping me indeed complimented me on the shirt, and eschewed the typical hand holding steps accordingly.

I used this Nike dingus to help motivate me to get in better shape before my wedding (which was just about 19 years ago!).

Oh fun, now the Apple edu store requires verification. I hope it’s not a big hassle since I need to buy a laptop for my kid next month.

End of an era with the honor system gone. /cc @film_girl

Ah, it feels great to be back on Daylight time. Please can we just stay on this from now on?

I backed the @Iconfactory ‘s new Kickstarter and you should too. They’ll absolutely deliver (they always do!), and bring some joy to the world while they’re at it.

Out on my daily walk yesterday evening, the hot, orange, summer sunset gave the Nebraska State Capitol building an incredible silhouette. #LNK

Oh Lordy, I’m 40.

The voter guide for Lincoln and Omaha races from @flatwaterfreepress is really great. Thorough, and good, independent reporting. https://voterguide.flatwaterfreepress.org #LNK

@chockenberry Hey Craig, I have a feature request for Clicker that I think would be useful: On the Apple Watch app, support for Double Tap to increment the counter would be lovely.

Thanks for the consideration!

You know what works super well during a Verizon outage? Verification codes sent via SMS.

A pox upon any service that only supports SMS verification codes and not proper TOTP generator codes or passkeys.

@gruber In your iPhones 16 review, under the design section, you refer to the iPhone 16 color as Aquamarine, when it is, in fact, Ultramarine. Thought you’d like to know!

James Earl Jones has become one with the Force.

The next presidential debate should be moderated by Sean Evans as the candidates take on the wings of death on Hot Ones.

And let tell you, on days like today where we’re hitting triple digit heat index, I am so glad my wife and I got this thing installed.

My house is one of those cape cod style houses, and the master bedroom is essentially the attic. Even though we have central heat & air, it doesn’t have the oomph to do much in our bedroom, so in the summers, we have used an ancient window AC unit that came with the house. It barely makes a dent on 90°+ days.

The other day we had a mini-split installed. **It is amazing!** It is so quiet, and has effortlessly kept the temp at 74°. And it’ll even do heat in the winter!

Am I an adult now?

Tot is such a handy little utility, and a steal at 50% off.
