I'm not really a hardware guy. I still don't know exactly what went wrong or what the system did to repair it. But I'm glad things are working better now.

A couple of years ago, I added more RAM and a bigger SSD to my laptop. After I did that, my computer started taking long time to boot. I don't know why.

Yesterday, the computer froze hard while playing a game and I had to do a hard reset. The computer didn't want to come back to life, but eventually it did and entered a BIOS diagnostic screen. I let it do the self diagnosis and when it finished, it said it found a memory issue and fixed it. Now it boots up in seconds like it did when it was new

This time she gets political and she's brilliant as always.

Y'all. I don't know who needs this, but Hello Kitty Spam is a thing that exists.

(It's me. I needed this and I bought some. I forgot to take a picture.)

Since nobody has observed Mitch McConnell since he collapsed on the floor a few weeks ago, should we assume that he is both alive and dead for the time being?

I mean, I was pretty sure he was an elder lich already.

One of my throwaway comments on someone else's post is starting to do numbers. I couldn't understand why, but then I saw the OP was boosted by @lisamelton so it's getting the knock-on effect.

Just goes to show what attention from a big account can do, even indirectly

For the curious, the plant is the joint pine.

Species name Ephedra fragilis.

It contains the highest concentration of ephedrine of any ephedra species. It’s native to southern Spain, Italy and Portugal.

Ephedrine is also known as beta hydroxy methamphetamine.

It works quite well as a cold medicine. The “beta hydroxy” part stops it crossing the blood brain barrier too much.

So it’s not meth.

But take away one teensy little oxygen molecule (this is non trivial and doing so may cause your house to explode. Also it’s very very very naughty and big men with guns might get upset), and it suddenly gets a whole lot more interesting.

My little brother and I started working as volunteers on the tall ship Elissa in Galveston, Texas way back in 1986. I quit sailing professionally a few years later, but he kept at it. Now he has been invited to captain the ship for her next voyage.

I could not be more proud.

Here's the website. I didn't include it in the OP because I don't want to appear to be endorsing this product in any way. I strongly suspect it's a scam of some kind, but I don't know how.

I just saw this ad on YouTube for a 16TB external SSD for $50. What's the catch? There's gotta be a catch.

Just printed a test page on my Mom's printer from 266 miles away. That was fun.

I am about to wreck a burrito. Wish me luck!

I've been eating chili flavored dried mango nonstop and my mouth is a pit of fire now.

No assistance needed. This is the best thing ever. 🔥 🌶️ 🥭 🫠

I'm seeing an uptick in follow requests from apparently attractive women who have:

* brand new accounts on major instances
* short, uplifting bios. Usually happiness, wellness, or related crap
* few or no followers
* no content

Instant block, of course. But it's getting tiresome.

Does anyone believe the powerful people in the Epstein files have stopped abusing women and girls after Epstein's operation was shut down? Was it shut down? Who is doing the trafficking now?
