A friend just sent me this. I truly hope the tartan army ninjas really did this, and it’s not photoshop.

The media are telling us the SNP failed to get a majority, and indeed they did.
BUT.
The system was set up to prevent majorities/encourage co-operation (pick one).
The SNP won 57 out of 73 seats in the constituency vote. If a party won that proportion in a Westminster election they would get 507 out of 650 seats. Yet we’re told this is a failure.
I’ve just seen two TV channels reporting the SNP will win tomorrow’s election. Are they encouraging complacency? SNP won’t win unless supporters make the effort to vote.
Don’t be complacent. Vote tomorrow.
My recent knits have been hats and scarves and leg warmers. Take them off the needles, block them, job done. I’ve just finished knitting a cardigan. There’s a huge amount of sewing up. I HATE SEWING!

@ChrisMayLA6 Apropos to another thread which I don’t want to hijack, if you’re an art gallery check the pictures don’t have a reflection of the light above if you’re at wheelchair height. I went with an art teacher to see an exhibition of one of her favourite artists’ work and she could only see them if she sat to the side. So thoughtless.

Palestine Action have embarrassed the government by showing the weak points in Brize Norton’s security. Well done. The red paint hurt no one.
If Palestine Action are deemed terrorists, anyone speaking in their support could be prosecuted and imprisoned for up to 14 years.
On the other hand, if I wanted to, I could legally cheer on a regime that starves children and kills people trying to get food.
The Police can come and get me whenever they want.
“A system that can't shelter, feed, educate or care for its people is a failure. People in failed states will vote for anyone who promises to tear the system down.” Cory Doctorow.
I read this and immediately thought of how well Reform are doing. They’re against the system (though many of their high heid yins do quite well by it), but they don’t have any plan to replace it. They’re just against.
I just watched Alex Salmond’s memorial. A good service but insultingly bad coverage. At the start the camera outside seemed to be shooting B-roll, unaware he was live. Slow to fade up mics. Couldn’t deal with applause. Only two, maybe three cameras inside, plus the locked-off shot. Slow to fade up outside mic at the end. Finished with more shots of feet.
This was the nearest thing to a state funeral, but the BBC treated it like amateur night. #AlexSalmond #Scotland #BBC
I just signed the petition "Sainsbury's & Tesco: publicly support real action to cut plastic production".
This campaign means a lot to me and the more support we can get behind it, the better chance we have of succeeding. You can read more and sign the petition here:
At today’s Moffat show I entered a Sanquhar scarf and it won its class. I also entered a brioche hat, the first brioche I ever tried (the one on the right), and it not only won, but won the salver for the best knitting or crochet in show. I’m chuffed to bits. #knitting
You can’t have an anti-war demo on Remembrance Day as it would be disrespectful. I can’t decide if we’re through the looking-glass or on Orwell’s Airstrip One.
