I"m quite pleased Canada will now have access to the Chinese EV vehicles. They are cheaper and reputed to be of great quality with terrific servicing. In the grand scheme of things 49,000 only represents less than 3% of new vehicle purchases in Canada, hardly enough to decimate the North American auto industry.

The bonus: it reduces our tariffs imposed by China on our food products e.g. canola. A huge plus.

I bet Netanyahu never thought that by decimating the citizens of Gaza he would permanently discredit the outrage for the horrors the Nazis put 6 million Jews through in WWII. Yet these same victimized people who lost family in the Holocaust, are today starving & wantonly killing their fellow human beings in Gaza. The Jewish WWII experience seems not to have taught any humanity to its victims. The Jewish people can never expect the same level of compassion they have experienced since WWII.

Opened the door to the patio this afternoon & startled a large animal resting high up a tree on a branch located in the ocean viewpoint beside our property. He did an unbalanced jump from that branch to a lower one then down to the ground. No idea what kind of animal because of all the leaves hiding it from view - thinking either a bear or a cougar - it was that big. Needless to say, being careful with the dog in the yard. Gotta love this seaside living. #yyj

My biggest take away between #Carney & #Poilievre during this very important campaign? Poilievre's promises could be made during any election campaign. Carney's are transformative along with tremendous hope for Canada's future. Interesting that PP is the one constantly stating Carney is merely an extension of the 'lost Liberal decade', when in fact he is the one that is doing politics as usual & isn't rising to the extraordinary challenges this difficult time requires. #elxn45 #cdnpoli

PP's plan to use the 'not withstanding' clause to impose life sentences on criminals is like the use of Executive Orders by Presidents to override normal House oversight. Designed for use in extraordinary circumstances, Trump has made them his preferred means of governing. Using the 'not withstanding' clause overrides our Charter of Rights & Freedoms, something we really don't want to undermine. It is a slippery slope, just look to the south of us. #elxn45 #cdnpoli

Thank you, Donald Trump. Nothing has done more to scare people away from voting to support PP and the Conservatives than Trump's actions south of the border. Canadians know much the Conservative base is firmly anchored in the MAGA outlook. Add to that, the fact the Liberals will have a new leader, with a new approach and the Conservatives are in big trouble. #cdnpoli #happydance
