My kitty has never looked finer!
Silly Hatting is something I lived without for four-odd decades, but now cannot bear to miss. Such a fun tradition, thanks to @eclectech 😍🩷🩷🩷 I have taken your scribbles lessons to heart and my perspective is forever improved. 🙏🏽 Many, many thanks to you for helping me stay light-hearted.
Hello, Lovely! @eclectech
Might Skittle get in on the Halloween fun?
Many thanks! 😸
Republicans are eager to believe in paid progressive Activism because they see it in their own party.
Republicans are eager to believe that a Muslim candidate would make his faith into law because they themselves wish to make their faith into law.
Republicans are eager to believe that a Progressive will be disloyal to the Constitution because their own party has normalized it.
"Accusation in a mirror" is always preferable to a personal accounting. 🌸
Priest killed by falling crucifix 😶
Woke up with the same song stuck in my brain, third day in a row.
It's there when I get up to pee during the night, too.
At least we've moved on from my brain's mashup of The Eagles and Aerosmith. Now it's Watsky with the occasional Olé Olé Olé crowd chant.
Dangerous place, my noggin. 🌸

Gotcha Guy gets smacked down 🩷
This embroidery project has been bumping around in my brain for about a year. It feels so good to finally have it manifest with my fingers. This mockup is using foam-core board and eventually I'll level-up to using wood. 2 segments left to stitch: pink and orange. 😍
Skittle's not so sure about our house guest. 😸

5km deep on the Pacific seafloor in a region called the CCZ, these valuable polymetallic nodules "are the habitat. In an environment made almost entirely of fine, soft mud, these hard rocks are the only surfaces available for corals, sponges, and smaller organisms to anchor themselves."
"MissionScientists estimate that more than 90% of the species living in the CCZ are completely unknown to science."
Seafloor mining is devastatingly destructive & we know better than to allow it to continue. 🌸
My poison was available for dirt cheap & it was much easier to keep scoring dope than it was to wrestle with my demons. I told myself that I had to keep using so that I didn't subject my family & friends to the turmoil of quitting. Every time I had tried, I suffered psychotic symptoms & I damaged my relationships terribly. I told myself at the time that I would simply die an addict & that seemed better than a violent & impossible recovery.
Today I'm 2½ years sober & things are much better. 🩷
When you're fighting your way out of an addiction, remember that there's a nebulous set of "reasons" that you are engaging in the addictive behavior in the first place. The addiction is a "solution" of sorts, and an important part of beating that addiction is finding a different SOLUTION.
Finding a solution requires identifying the problem, and "addiction" isn't your root problem. Seek out a recovery group or therapy with an educated professional and do the work necessary to move forward. 🩷
I'm volunteering on a Senate campaign and my canvassing training was essentially "Load this application onto your device so that you can curate its data set regarding the political position of each household you encounter"
This made me feel like my job was less "get the word out for the campaign" and more "collect data from my neighbors for a faceless corporation to use on unknown ways"
Help! What is canvassing these days?
The woman was wading upstream through a deep dip in the riverbed strewn with fallen logs and tangles of brush. She was pushing a long tandem kayak with a toddler on it. I carefully picked my way across the river rapids and quickly reached her. Her face was bright and beautiful but she was clearly exhausted and scared. I took the opposite end of the kayak and guided her across the rapids.
Meanwhile, my friend had parked their boat on the opposite bank and got the other 2 people ashore. 2/6>>
"Don't come this way!" the woman shouted to us. "You won't be able to make it back!"
Puzzled, I turned to my friend and said, "Let's pull over and see what's going on." I parked my kayak on the right bank of the river and stood in the shin-deep water.
Across the river, 4 people were struggling in the deeper water of the left bank. The woman who had shouted to us had the wild-eyed look of a person terrified. "I'm going to paddle over there," my friend said.

I like watching the birds thru the window. I love watching Skittle watch the birds thru the window. 😻

"El Niño itself is nothing new. What has changed is the climate in which it now unfolds. Every natural swing of the climate system is beginning from a warmer starting point than the last..." 🔥🔥

Surveil any place you'd like to, by putting up your own Flock-lookalike camera aimed at their entrance.
I can't wait to get back on the water!
SQUEEEEEEEE🥰😝🫠
My monster sunflower took its time opening up and it was worth the wait! 🌻
