Saturday #Workout:
23.5 KM of #Cycling ( 2℃, 64% humidity, and 30 KM/H wind.).

Morning of reading and tea before heading out for a windy and chilly ride. Lots of folks out being active, which was nice to see.

Thanks to you all, the account appears to have been suspended.

If/when I do move instances or change usernames, I’ll make a lot of noise about it well in advance, promise. 🤣

So … it’s been brought to my attention that there is an account created yesterday: wt2l@ - which is definitely *not* me. Just putting that out there, but seems to be following people I follow.

💯 If you don’t have RSS on your site, I’ll probably visit it once. RSS, I’ll keep coming back!

Here’s one for #AskFedi :
I have a Photoshop file (.psd) with a pile of assets in it, and I would like to extract those assets, ideally into whatever original file format they came in … without having Photoshop.

I *can* open it in Pixelmator Pro (on a Mac), but would have to go through the dozens of assets, exporting them one at a time.

Ideas?

Saturday #Workout:
24 KM of #Cycling (5℃, 99% humidity, and 3 KM/H wind).

A morning of reading, tea, then running some errands before heading off to Strathcona Park for the latest #Ottawa #Fediverse #Meetup.

Great turnout for a holiday weekend, and So. Many. Cookies. Pleased the weather cooperated with our plans too, lovely fall day.

We’ve arrived, scored a picnic table in the sun, roughly a hundred metres north of the parking lot. #Ottawa #fediverse #Meetup #FediMeetup

Today’s the day for the #Ottawa #fediverse #Meetup! Weather look nice and cool. See everyone in a few hours!

Will post a photo of the exact location when we ( @TAV and I) arrive.

Friday #Workout:
20 minutes of yoga.
20 minutes of strength training.
5.2 KM of #Walking with @TAV (light rain, 15℃, 96% humidity, and 6 KM/H wind).

Longer workouts this morning then TAV and I walked to city hall to vote.

I was *not* impressed by the scanners I had to pass my backpack through to go vote. Peak theatre, as there were two pocket knives in my backpack leftover from #FestivalLife. Time to vote: bit over 9 minutes. The ghost bikes at city hall always make me pause.

Thursday #Workout:
10 minutes of yoga.
20 minutes of strength training.
25.6 KM of #Cycling (15℃, 96% humidity, and 9 KM/H wind).

Good workouts, and a rather warm and humid ride around Ottawa.

Walked over to a new client and spent a few hours re-keystoning a bunch of ethernet. I really enjoy doing that sort of thing; pop on a podcast and letting my hands do the work.

Save the date, #Ottawa: Saturday October 10, we’re having a #Fediverse meetup, starting around 13:00 at Strathcona Park
(https://www.openstreetmap.org/?#map=19/45.426495/-75.671638).

It is ~1km walk from the Ottawa University O-Train station, has parking, and is accessible by recreational paths too (no washrooms though).

Come meet some local folks from the community here, bring your own snacks, plan to pack your trash back out. Out-of-towners welcome! Additional details will appear in this thread.

Sunday #Workout:
10 minutes of strength training via two movement snacks while tea steeped.
37.2 KM of #Cycling (20℃, 49% humidity, and 31 KM/H wind, gusts 44 KM/H).

Pumped up my bike tires this morning. What a difference!

Good, fast ride by a friend, lunch with the CityFolk crew, then rode back with @TAV.

Made soup and had fresh corn on the cob that I picked up at the farmer’s market.

Last night, we watched Drunken Master from 1978, and it is so … delightfully 70s Hong Kong action #Film. And made me miss my days of #kungFu training. https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/11230

For some context, here’s the first one we did back in May: https://mastodon.social/@WTL/116666273815326827

#Ottawa #fediverse #OttBike #Meetup

Hey #Ottawa, do we want to try for another #fediverse meet-up the weekend of October 10/11(rain day)?

We can do something similar like last time, meeting in a city park, (maybe this time Strathcona)? #OttBike #Meetup

Yes, I will wear an orange shirt. 🤣

Was delighted (and a bit surprised) to meet Lyra Evans last night while she was door-knocking. Look forward to voting for them and Leiper. #Ottawa #OttPoli

Tuesday #Workout:
7.89 KM of #Walking (8℃, 74% humidity, and 15 KM/H wind).

Slept in an extra two hours this morning after nope-ing out of getting up at my usual time. Figured a walk would suffice, but aimed for the stairs behind Parliament Hill to make it challenging. Picked up some groceries now that catering at the festival is closed.

Quiet day at home, answering email and organizing my work.

Friday #Workout:
24 KM of #Cycling (17℃, 55% humidity, and 24 KM/H wind with 33 KM/H gusts).

Another day of no workouts before heading to day nine of #FestivalLife. Fair bit of biking around the site at one point, clocked 4KM going between various points to take care of something.

Big fire in Sandy Hill tonight; smelled/saw the smoke on the ride home and detoured to investigate. On Cobourg at Stewart, with at least ten fire engines in attendance.

Also was reminded that if I want to go really fast, I have to put my phone in my under-seat bag, otherwise will will be flung out of my pocket as I pedal like a madman downhill (this didn't happen, as I was able to restrain myself). 🤣 #Cycling

Saturday #Workout:
48.9 KM of #Cycling (17℃, 90% humidity, and 10 KM/H wind).

Morning of reading, and went to see where my legs took me… climbing into the Gatineau Hills.

Near the top of the ride, when I turned onto Kingsmere, a fairly narrow uphill, a kind NCC (National Capital Commission) pickup shielded me from traffic while I struggled up one of the steepest parts. Certainly earned a wave from me when I cleared the top. Downhill was weeeeee! 🤣

Good ride, nearly 70% in Zone 3 or higher.
