Sure, the one ring has caused a lot of problems in middle earth, but that's just because everybody else who has wielded it was doing it wrong.

Not me. I and I alone know how to wield the one ring, and have found it to be pretty useful!

Like, sure, sometimes you become a hollow husk of yourself, and the ring wraiths are a whole thing, but we have ways around that. Plus, in about six months I am sure the wraith problem will be fully solved.

I can't give up the ring, and really recommend more people try using it! just make sure you have very strong guard rails and a harness in place for the ring. Personally, before I put on the ring I write a little post it note that says "ring wraiths do not kill me plz" and put it on my front door.

It's controversial, I know, but it really helps me do a lot of things! For example, prior to owning the ring it would take me an hour to put on a shirt. I just could not figure out the arm holes. By placing a stick in the shirt arm I can guide my arm up to the hole, and then I use the one ring to make the stick disappear while I check the fit. I have found no other way of doing this.

I am a 10x grocery shopper thanks to Roomba. I tape a grocery list and some money to the top of the Roomba and release it into the grocery store. Eventually people put the groceries on top and then turn the Roomba back around and I collect the groceries. I am very smart and I think this means I collected the groceries with no human intervention. Roomba will soon kill us all.

Every time I feed the cats, I end it by saying "nyan appetite!"

And then I laugh, and laugh, and laugh, and the cats stare, and stare, and judge.

It's a good system.

Is there a fandom for mid-2000s prescription medication commercial mascots? I want to believe that, somewhere, there is extensive documentation about the art influences involved in making the Mucinex thing

love how half the emails I get lately are "THING YOU LIKE has decided to partner with CHILD CANNON SYSTEMS to launch AGENTIC AI. Buy it today!"

Later this week is my annual trip to Acadia for hiking and merriment, and the timing is absolutely perfect. the leaves are starting to change, but are not changed enough to attract all the leaf peepers yet

the Mandarin term for "a little" is "yi dian." literally "a dot".

but, if you are in Beijing, you replace the n with an R, rendering it as "yi diar."

My Chinese teacher has split the difference by writing it as "yi dianr". with dian being more standard and diar being more realistic.

but now I read EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) as yi diar. EDRs give.....a little security. yi dianr security.

friend's roommate won the steam frame lottery after he had already decided he didn't actually want one, so I have bought it off of him.

I was playing No Man's Sky (in VR! somehow they fixed the VR mode when using steam link with the quest 2!) and landed on a vapor planet.

Found a bipedal mole guy. scanned him. He was listed as highly intelligence and creative.

fed him......had the option to "gently milk" him.

I did so, of course, and then adopted him as a companion because I had never seen a bipedal mole creature before.

He got the companion accessory thing....as a harness across his pecs. 👀

so now I have a hairy guy in a harness, whom I can gently milk. And he is S-tier in fighting.

I like those posts that are more hashtag than regular word.

I'll be scrolling the timeline and suddenly see something like "#TheUN has #voted to #approve a #new #map based on a #projection that #preserves #the #area of a #country while #warping #theShape as #you #look #further from #TheEquator. #protectdemocracy #landarea #mapprojections #cartography 🌍🌏🗺️☺️🌞"

If nuclei templates are anything to go by, the average MCP is simply a vehicle to turn your computer into my computer.

It feels like every day I read a new template that is like "this MCP server is vulnerable to RCE by sending your command to /exec with admin=true in the request body"

Kneaded it until it came together more but without turning totally smooth. Now have it hanging out next to a cracked open oven on the lowest baking temp to do a quick first rise before I portion it out into rolls again and pop them in the fridge until I want to rise and bake them

Rolls ended up a little undersalted and overly chewy, so I am trying again and tweaking the recipe.

The undersalting is fixed with, well, more salt though I figured adding a little more oil would add a better feel and flavor to the rolls.

The chewiness is for sure an issue with my flour ratios, but can also be caused by a bad rise. Changing the flour up, and adding more sugar so the yeast has a fancier meal to eat, as well as hydrating it way more than last time so it has more water to turn into steam. Steam + CO2 from the yeast = nice and fluffy.

This time it has two cups of AP flour to one cup of bread flour, a full tablespoon of sugar, two teaspoons of iodized salt, three teaspoons of yeast, two tablespoons of avocado oil and I added enough water to make the dough a little gloopy. Popping it in the fridge now to further hydrate and autolyze before I give it a proper knead and first rising.

How long until we learn about an exploit that uses this to install homebrew?

If I was a financial speculator or homebrew enthusiast, I would be buying Mario Kart Home Circuit now before it becomes the next Cubic Ninja
