Started #BookConservation on two heavily read volumes of Lord of the Rings.

Recording the condition before starting work is a standard part of the work.

Peabody exploits its affordable/social housing history

Popped into a Peabody new build open house event near work during lunchtime.

A new build in North London with 1, 2 & 3 beds start at £590,000.

Price justification included green space, a podcast room, cinema, etc.

Just build #LivingWage affordable housing. There are plenty of other properties already available if you want the fluff.

#Library and #archive enquiry box getting slammed with info requests from AI Agents.

Policy now coming together and being rolled out for monitoring and (not) responding.

Meanwhile, the publicly accessible catalogue is also getting so slammed that it and the backend are frequently and regularly down.

#3GoodThings

- walking in the sunshine hand in hand to an APPOINTMENT
- first time riding in a Chinese produced electric car with different back door handles
- being taken care of

#3GoodThings

- a very good, albeit brief, visit with a couple former colleagues
- Tried an historic wine place that I've meant to go for years, nay decades (eek) - El Vino, Blackfriars
- Tried a newly reopened historic pub that was saved from redevelopment while surrounded by very new buildings - Hoop and Grapes, Ludgate Circus

Ordered from eBay, delivered and packaged from Amazon.

Not happy!

The grass endures!

Tech advice requested:

Using outlook @ work, the address prompt keeps defaulting to listing 1st a colleague's personal email address.

Multiple times I have worked through the instructions to remove this email address from my contacts list and and change stays in place for n days. However, the change is reversed quickly.

Yes, I should look more carefully to choose the correct internal work email address but seriously why does it keep doing this?

Note: I have NO system admin rights.

So much of this rings true for the world today. Reminded me of We and 1984.

Interesting #ExhibitionDesign at #Schaparelli. Walls lined with #blotter and secured with corner folds.

That's quite a design budget!

Excellent #Schaparelli exhibition at #VictoriaAndAlbertMuseum.

The design and tailoring is superb. So many pieces would be beautifully worn today.

No Rain for a month. Rain during one day so now there are #mosquitos.

Go be part of nature's food chain rather than buzz my ear and bite me.

I want a reason to stay in this London Travelodge so I can walk into this magnificent entrance.

Tuesday #3GoodThings

-Water flosser is doing the job
-Delivered a bag of plants home without damage
-Left work on time

Watching a man in pret a manger try to take a spork from the container. He couldn't get ahold of one so he licked his fingers, separated the sporks and took one, leaving behind several with his spit on them.

Needless to say I threw them away.

This week I spent time taking apart a retail binding, reducing the textblock size to 30%, inserted loose additions, resewed and converted from a flat back multiple section case binding to a multiple section pamphlet binding.
