I am glad I outgrew hanging out with that kind of person, and mad at myself that I ever did.

Had a nightmare that I was trying to look up someone from a different life I once led, but no search engine would let me finish typing before automatically forwarding me to the wrong page.

Have, I think, hit the limit of what I can do on the second floor of an apartment and if I want to get more into gardening than I already am (I do) then I need to look into a ground floor condo with a backyard or a proper home.

Well, just got the official decision from the landlord: no worm bin for composting. So I think home composting is off the table for me unless they invent an electric composter that actually does composting instead of drying food out.

Today is I Am On New Meds: I have a song stick in my head that does not exist and I'm contemplating learning music software to get it out

So I have started ADHD medications.

I am currently on a getting-used-to-it dose, which will increase over the coming months; I hope it allows me to concentrate and focus better. I hope that I can find, or build, a better version of myself on the far end of it.

Safe... but for how long...?

Well, it's just a character sheet; not that hard to remake.

I have so many calls and appoiintments this week.

I have new progressive lenses and they're great, but God, they cost a mint and my eyes are taking their sweet time adjusting.

I have sleep apnea followup Monday, a dietician on Tuesday, and another optical test Thursday. I feel out of warranty.

On a positive note, I finally grew a (small) carrot. It tasted so good.

Anyways, if you've suddenly felt over the past however long that you just don't have your ol' get-up-and-go any more, it might be burnout and it might be related to neurodivergence you've been coping with that's finally hit cap.

I don't have an easy cure, but if I find a difficult one: I'll share it.

I dunno what the cure is other than "change up the routine a lot" and I will admit that actually changing things up for going on vacation and going places has left me recharged. But well: modern society demands more routine of us than ever, you know?

Apparently, just having to deal with the difficulties having an atypical brain forces upon you can cause you to burn out, and when it does it makes your divergent neuros even more noticeable, which is why I didn't really notice all this until the past few years.

And so: yeah. Think I'm burnt out.

So the past week, I got a formal diagnosis: I have ADHD (inattentive.) I'm not hyper, I just have trouble concentrating.

I already knew this and most of the things to do with it, though knowing it for sure means I feel more confident exploring coping mechanisms to help me with this disability.

But the therapist brought up ADHD and autistic burnout, and I went "hmmm."

Watched the last third of Straight Talk tonight and Dolly Parton said trans rights 🙂

(A foldie is my major bougie bullshit indulgence. Yes, I know. But it's a phone that folds shut like my GBA SP did and it fits in my pocket and I have realized: that is what I want a phone to do more than any other innovation in the space in the past ten years.)

Well, I'm happy with my 2024 Razr, but Apple entering the foldie space is neat 'cause Apple's popularity may finally get the technology mainstream enough that aftermarket repairs are easier to get.
