@kjw810 I'm used to not having description too, and it would have been different if they described things to me, but they don't really. They might throw out tidbits here and there about what happens, but for the most part, I'm just listening to the dialogue and picking out what I can by listening to their commentary amongst themselves. They get so involved in what they're doing that they forget I'm there.

@luvlabguidedogs That would be frustrating for sure. There are certain family members who do better than others. I watch Perry Mason with my stepdad and he is absolutely horrible! I always have to ask him what happened.

@kjw810 Yeah, and then at least with my family, when I have to ask them what happened, they almost act like it's putting them out to have to take a few seconds to fill me in, like they're afraid they're going to miss something by filling me in. That's why in years past, whenever my family would watch movies, I'd pull out a book. So I'd be physically with them but my mind would be somewhere else.

@kjw810 Yeah, well that movie was pretty boring. LOL! I got maybe 75 or 80 percent of it, so that wasn't too bad, but I got lost towards the end. That's usually how it happens. The action picks up, and if you don't have good description, you're left in the dust.

@luvlabguidedogs Right! I went to this free Pureflix screening of a Christmas movie. The only reason I don't subscribe to that app is because there is no description whatsoever. Well, it was the same with that movie. I know about half of what happened.

@kjw810 That's a shame too. I've heard that Pureflix is pretty good, but if you don't have someone who's good and willing to describe what's going on, movies are just plain boring without desvription.

@luvlabguidedogs Exactly. It's a bummer, too, because they have great content but I can't justify paying for something that won't work completely for me.
