    I just received a Romeo Pro 50. it's got firmware version 5.12 something or other so I guess it's not one of the latest ones. I don't have any paper but so far it seems to be in perfect shape. Wow this is interesting. It has that Doubletalk thing that it calls ETSpeech.

    Here we go, I managed to learn how to use the unit's rubber rollers to work with our standard printer paper in single page mode. Since I don't have any way to communicate with a computer yet, these are just onboard tests.

    we hear the RP50 embosser being tested 3 different times, two on the first page worth of the status printout and the third one is on the full cell test sequence. For each, the sound of the striker solonoid thingimajiggers change as I physically turn the dot firmness dial. The third test begins to demonstrate to some extent the sheer amount of racket this thing can make, though I still have the firmness low because all I have right now is printer paper. In this audio, we hear some of the obnoxiously loud tones the unit produces during user interaction, and ET Speaks is heard making numerous announcements. I think the cooling fan may be a little tired, I hear some minor chattering going on.
