Blind and visually impaired people fear smart glasses backlash https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cmx2qlz7ney2o

At a certain point in your life, sitting at home alone watching TV on a Friday night
goes from being super depressing to the most enjoyable part of your week.

I renamed my toilet Jim instead of John.. people are really impressed when I tell them I go to the Jim every morning.

Behold the glorious speedups of Backtalk yourself, via a sort of shitty audio demo I recorded a couple hours ago.

Want an easy way to remember Canadian timezones? Please make class end at noon. Please (Pacific) make (Mountain) class (central) end (Eastern) at(lantic) noon (Newfoundland). Thanks @TReKiE

It's the weekend, yea!!!

Employers worry accommodations will be expensive. The reality: most workplace accommodations for blind employees cost little or nothing. A screen reader license, some flexible document formats, a willingness to describe the whiteboard. The expensive thing is the talent you lose by assuming otherwise. #NDEAM

@payown um if they are not NVDA friendly, and many employers are not, and you have to use their hardware configured the way they want, locked down, then it is not cheap to employ a blind person. Unless I'm missing something.

People who are disabled in some way are not less than, and do not deserve to be pitied or looked down on. If they want your help they'll fucking ask for it. Do not say awww or they're so brave or whatever. Dignity is universal and shouldn't have to be won. You are not the moral arbiter of their life. X

How to dress for cold weather:
1. Put pajamas back on
2. Get back in bed

I just received a Romeo Pro 50. it's got firmware version 5.12 something or other so I guess it's not one of the latest ones. I don't have any paper but so far it seems to be in perfect shape. Wow this is interesting. It has that Doubletalk thing that it calls ETSpeech.

Bruh this is just weird, Meta glasses arn't pervert glasses you weirdo.

Lorry driver here. We can see you wanking and/or watching porn when driving. Stop it.

The new Road Kings trucking sim coming next year is going to give ATS a run for its money. It has federal hours of service rules, cool radio stations, a story, companies with the ability to poach jobs (that might come in FF V2), but none of these truck sims cover the whole map yet. I can because its an audio game while they have to design/capture the roads for visual fedelity etc.

My favorite thing in the whole world is handing a new pair of Meta glasses to a client and watching them transform in a new sense of independence... Watching this unintended tech become a revolutionary piece of assistive tech that harnesses the true power of AI. Love what I do! 🕶️
