Apfelstrudel (with apples from the garden) and a slice of ice cream sausage*
thanks @vaviurka!

* Something my German relatives seem to be unaware of: Decent quality vanilla ice cream packaged in a plastic tube like a sausage.
Google illegally chopping down a massive forest in Finland and even removing the topsoil so nothing can grow again.
Makes sense. If copyright no longer applies to big corporations, as LLMs have shown, then why should any other regulation?
I'm not sure an appropriate fine is even possible for this. And you can't put that forest back.
I predict we'll be having angry people burning down datacenters in the next couple years.
Left side brake done.
Bleeding by pedal worked fine although I had to replace the wooden assistant with a flesh and blood one.
The disc got replaced too. It had barely any wear on it but it looks like it corroded away. We haven't really used this car very much due to #Knirps arriving and stuff.
Hope tomorrow's weather is as nice and I can tackle the other side.
Really need to build that carport next year as we need them but not often and they just rot away standing around. [No dumbass suggestions about car rental from clueless city people please.]

DPD still not managed to deliver, so I'm tackling the other car meanwhile.
The Crossgolf has the usual seized rear brake piston and gets new calipers on both sides.
Bunch of rusty bolts that haven't moved in a long time got successfully undone with the help of Mr. Nutbuster and my new telescoping ratchet spanner.
Deployed my wooden assistant to hold down the brake pedal for me.
The sun came out and its actually nice!

Why is a person carrying a Lidl shopping bag the "associative image" for poverty? :think_bread:
Although I always take an Iki bag to Lidl so I never have to explain that I already paid for that bag.
Roxy, who got a brush and a collar.
The brushing she liked, the collar will take some getting used to.
Negotiations.
Pumpkin price check 😆
Ours don't come with little banderoles though and aren't of uniform size.
Also didn't grown in plasticulture, so they have some dirt on them. Which I washed off.
Hey, these are worth a lot more than potatoes. I guess they needed to be picked by hand and even Moroccan immigrants won't work for free. 🤷
Had +1°C tonight and frost forecast for tonight, so just in time. 😓
Bob did a good job keeping the birds out and deserves winter hibernation in the barn.
Maybe we can even find a new hat by spring. This one is falling apart.
Ivan (the fur coat) is still going strong though.
DPD still holding our exhaust hostage, so I did some gardening work instead.
Cleared away the bean supports and overgrown garden, piling the compost mountain even higher.
Finished processing the onions. They cured nicely, only a handful bad.
Since it looks like first night frost in a few days, I harvested all the pumpkins as well. Quite a haul. A few have been "sampled" by some rodents and went into the EatSoon basket. The rest is stored in the barn for now as I need to make space in the house first.
Hope the cat does her job protecting them.
Also gave the storm damaged apple tree a severe pruning. Should recover and be more able to withstand the next storm, but may not bear fruit next year. I picked up the good ones first.
So Russian gas stations are having fuel shortages due to "unscheduled refinery repairs" and there is an export ban in effect, extended until end of January.
Yet the local dictator promises lots of diesel fuel to the supposedly hated West with a smug grin? Immediately! Violating his own export ban.
Huh?
Growing food from seeds that came in supermarket veggies makes me feel more like a l33t h4xx0r than any computer stuff ever did :picklerick:
These are starting to look ready. In fact we already ate one that had a little pruning accident and it was nice.
Butternut squash grown from seed found in a supermarket butternut squash :)

Americans are preparing to do that weird holiday where they lure little kids to their houses with candy after having told them all their lives not to accept candy from strangers.
Computer crashed so hard that time went back 5 hours :surprised_pikachu:
