I have updated my old conference schedule mobile app to work with #UbuntuTouch. I have also spent some time to connect it with giggity menu. I plan to use it at #OpenAlt, but it should work also with other conferences such as #FOSDEM.
Later, I would like to check how it works with #SailfishOS, but should be ready for it.

Don't miss my #DevConf talk on #SmartwatchHacking and #Amazfish!
📅 Thursday, June 18, at 2:00 PM in E105
📹 You can also watch it live at https://www.youtube.com/@DevConfs
I’d love to invite you to DevConf.cz in Brno 🚀 It’s happening on June 18–19, 2026, and I’ll be there talking about hacking smartwatches ⌚ and building a Linux mobile app 🐧 so they finally do what I want 😄 Come join the fun!
OpenCamp conference in Bratislava just started. I decided to hijack the conference. I am going to have 2 sessions. First about mobile linux and second about smartwatch
I am preparing a talk for Bratislava #OpenCamp 2026 about Amazfish and smartwatches. The conference language is Slovak, and my talk, "Otvorený svet smart hodiniek", will also be in Slovak.
See you on 25 April at 14:00 in U120, FIIT Bratislava.
The schedule includes three rooms and is packed with interesting topics. I’m looking forward to it.
Adding Icons to notifications in Amazfish
I’ve been working on a new feature for #Amazfish. A new pull request adds support for uploading workouts to @FitTrackee, a FOSS alternative to Strava. The integration is simple for now — just basic uploads, no advanced features yet.
I’m looking forward to your feedback!
Recently, I decided to spend the money you donated to buy a Bangle.js ⌚️.
Since then, I’ve improved feature support in #Amazfish — it now synchronizes steps, activities, and alarms.
I have to say that #BangleJS is an awesome, hackable smartwatch. It’s something I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to write some code and learn something new.
I was still wondering why navigation wasn’t working for me (PineTime + Amazfish on #UBports). In the end, it turned out to be AppArmor in Pure Maps (there is now an unconfined version of the app in the store). Navigation must be enabled in the #Amazfish settings, and the resources (navigation images) must be uploaded to the #PineTime.
A few years ago, I was laughing at people who tried to run LibreOffice on their phones. Today, I'm doing the same foolish thing — and it works! I'll be giving a presentation about mobile Linux, from mobile Linux.

It will take place on Sunday, 16.03, at 14:30 in Track II.
I’ll be driving Brno → Prague in the morning and back in the evening. If you’d like to join, I still have plenty of space in my car. 🚗
