Happy #StanislavPetrov Day to all those who celebrate, live it like it's your last.
I guess I could observe this year's #Ramadoom by refusing to use LLMs but you'd have to make me in the first place. Like the one where the Catholic gives up exercise for lent.
I love paying $35,000 a year for health insurance yet a first visit with a new PCP and a lipid panel has various corporate entities threatening to send thousands of dollars in bills for that introduction to collections agencies aside the one that belongs to them.
Certainly puts a new spin on "preventative care", like I didn't want to go to the doctor in the first place and then the forest it takes to squabble over who pays for the elementary blood chemistry makes it a moral injury.
I am unfamiliar with any time when top Democrats embraced "aggressive climate rhetoric", and I do not think suggesting companies self-regulate their emissions qualifies now that Donald J Trump has unilaterally imposed a global $100/ton carbon tax on the most difficult fossil fuels to replace, picking the highest hanging fruit even as he's planted the ladders in wood chippers.
"Bill Gates, the Microsoft billionaire who last year argued that aggressive climate action was a waste of limited money that should instead be spent fighting poverty and disease", so more of us will live long enough to become climate refugees, last week committed a billion dollars to "improving global AI access."
"One of the stadiums that has been listed as joining the billionaire boycott [of Macklemore] is Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Here’s why that is gonna make your head explode: Raymond James Stadium hosted a Kanye concert THIS YEAR! Last year, Kanye West released a song entitled, “Heil Hitler.” LAST YEAR!"

Noted trafficker in deflated footballs and flesh Robert Kraft has banned Macklemore from his stadium venue monopoly in Boston for saying the words "Free Palestine," which, by extending the franchise of humanity to Palestinians with an equal claim to whatever liberty this life might afford, qualifies as hate speech.
Dream the American dream of being rich enough that lurking pickup razor-bicced ape artistes are trying to traffic women to you for blackmail like wannabe Jeff Epsteins.
These whiners must be refusing Defense Secretary Pete Whiskeyfists' HRT, because Real War-Fighting Warriors™ need neither protein nor teeth:
"Sailors and Marines serving on the USS Abraham Lincoln have told relatives about being served a half-cup of rice and two tortillas for a meal and said the ship's store often lacks soap, deodorant and toothpaste... broken toilets, moldy showers without hot water and no laundry service for weeks at a time."

Checking in on the state of LLM poetry.
Walker's Rhyming Dictionary was first published in 1775. It reordered words by reversing the spelling, which made it trivial to find sight rhymes for poetry and made it useful for solving other word puzzles. 42 years later Byron was mocking lazy poets' use of it in ottava rima from Venice.
perhaps police shouldn't be allowed to stalk random women and threaten their families using the full leverage of state and corporate mass surveillance without an iota of oversight
not even a year apart
"six months after former FDA vaccine chief [and anti-testing, anti-mask, anti-vaccine hysteric] Dr. Vinay Prasad said, without releasing evidence, that the agency had identified at least 10 previously unreported child deaths tied to the vaccines" the agency quietly released a report that the number remains zero.
"While the nation tore itself apart over civil rights and Vietnam, Roberts studied Latin and played football in a high school class of 20, working special summer jobs at Bethlehem reserved for the sons of executives that paid between $12 and $16 an hour, the equivalent of $88 to $117 an hour today."

Trump building a $1.7B reparations fund for these fine folks so they can solicit minors for prostitution using the proceeds:
"At least 78 rioters have been arrested on charges unrelated to the riot... more than twice as high as has been previously reported.... At least nine of the cases involve child sexual abuse, three are rape charges and two people have been convicted of murder... in addition to at least 19 weapons charges and nine violent assaults."

The immediately terrifying prospect we face is that the Democratic party will be dumped back into a position of overwhelming power only to once again demonstrate that no matter the cause these corrupt neo-confederates will never face consequences.
Elon said he would send rockets to Mars every 26 months since 2018 and has sent zero, that makes it a growth stock.

The bit where Elon's firm that keeps promising to send things to Mars but has never sent anything to Mars is getting fast tracked onto the exchanges before it ever sends anything to Mars seems on par for a stock market whose value is pegged to speculative valuations of various manifestations of vaporware.
"In 2003, the mighty Florida orange industry produced 242 million boxes of fruit, with 90 pounds of oranges per box, most of which went on to become orange juice. Now, not even 25 years later, the United States Department of Agriculture was forecasting a pitiful 12 million boxes of oranges, the least in more than 100 years, the worst year since last. A decline of more than 95 percent."
