I'm okay with Carney saying "it's a dangerous world right now and Canadians need to be ready for hard times", as a justification for cuts and for increased industrial/military spending. But I'm not okay with the fact that Canada's wealthiest are once again being exempted from pitching in on getting through these hard times.
Despite destroying Canada's climate efforts, slashing services, and shrinking staffing, the budget deficit is looks to be the largest one outside of the 2020-2021 CERB budgets.
We're damaging our country and the climate, but we're also digging into the hole... to fund industry & military.
Cutting taxes and cancelling Freeland's capital gains tax hike isn't just irresponsible it's cruel to everyone who'll be hurt by service cuts, public-service job-losses, and inflation.
It's 2:30 AM but it's done. I've never technically implemented an online multiplayer game before, but I did this on a whim and it works:
@ZachWeinersmith 's idea of "Kriegsspiel Tic Tac Toe".
https://github.com/Pxtl/kriegsspiel-tictactoe
It's tic tac toe where you can't see where the other player placed his pieces. With N players and M-size square board and fileshare-based multiplayer.
Attached is a picture of 2 windows playing with the game running on a fileshare.
@LALegault Haha:
"Hi, I'm Sam."
"No! You cannot be called that!"
"But, it's my name."
"Is it also your preference to be called that?"
"Y..yes?"
"Then you cannot be called that!"
"Ok, what about..."
"No! Only another may designate your name, and it must be one you dislike!"
"I... grownups are so fucking weird. You should chill out."
Aside: I notice we use both #CaPoli and #CanPoli here in Canada. I will never forgive the internet standards people for going with the 2-letter iso names instead of the 3-letter ones for country-TLDs and language-codes.
3-letter codes would prevent the "is CA Canada or California".
The biggest countries use 2-letter state/prov codes, so 3-letter countries would prevent ambiguity.
My site should be Pxtl.can, written in en-can not Pxtl.ca written in en-ca.
Back on the birdsite and on FB, I made a hobby of posting my mixology hobby #cocktails.
My doctor says I shouldn't drink those much anymore, but I still had a blogging backlog. So here's my final big "Covid Cocktails" sprint, which I've now collected into my personal site 2 years overdue:
I just got an email from my eldest's highschool explaining that the main entrance is the little man-door in the parking lot, and not the one I'm attaching in the image below. Only the "main" door will be open during the day.
As a @notjustbikes orange-pilled car-hater, I can't help but notice how things get prioritized.
Any #GamingMouse recommendations out there? My ancient MS Sidewinder X5 has worn out.
Normally I'd go Logitech -- I've been a die-hard logitech fanboy my whole life but my kid's logi mouse started double-clicking and I'm really disappointed with my logi headset.
What are people getting these days? I'm a #BuyItForLife kinda guy.
