So, it's Halloween soon...

So apparently i have to wait 30 seconds now after deleting mails from gmail, or they wont be deleted...?

So... butthole Covid is a thing now?

Whenever i am considering removing someone who has passed away, I am always reminded by this #xkcd

Seems to be lots of beggars on Bluesky.

Make one post, get mentioned: "Pls send money". Not gonna happen.

Amazing number of people that still can't tell the difference between:

1. Antisocial = Having a negative effect onto the surrounding group of people, like gaslighting, manipulation, no respect for others feelings or property, and outright criminal behaviour.

2. Asocial = Just wanting to be left the fuck alone for various reasons.

Just read an article about young people taking stock tips from AI and losing all their money and there was a need to warn them about this.

I say let darwinism take its toll, and it will surely make younger people see what AI really is:

Complete shit.

Vance: "Don't call the russian asset a russian asset".

Interesting persistence technique. Apparently windows winlogon shell accept multiple parameters in one, like this:

reg.exe add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon" /v Shell /d "explorer.exe, malware.exe" /f

I fucking hate configuring wifi on home devices, using a 32 character long WPA2 PSK key with high entropy... says it all.

Whats up with all the expensive egg references? Don't you have hens in the US?

OTOH, maybe i should put up a couple of cartons on eBay for €1000 + shipping each...

Merry Yippie Kai-Ay Motherfucker.

So i got pluralsight recommended to me. Looked at their courses and while they have many, there is no actual curriculum, it's just "here is a list of courses in random order - good luck".

Anyone got any hints on what courses to take and in what order for Azure, AWS and GCP - or tips about other more STRUCURED training providers?

Why are TV stations in like Arkansas and further away live covering a storm in Florida? Or even a TV channel in India?

OS/2 is another of those things i've never had to pay for, IBM usually gave those away for free with Magazines.

Got OS/2 v2, v3, v4 and OS/2 LAN Server. Last one i borrowed to someone who wanted to play with it, but never returned it. Not a big loss though.

I also used to do Novell Netware, but that wasn't really much something to play with. You usually just loaded a few modules (NLMs) from a config file and ran syscon, and voila' - you were the companys designated Novell Netware expert.

So hydrogen is an expensive fuel to make, requires energy and water to separate H from H2O.

Hmmmm...

Imagine if there was a place with lots of water and some sort of generator that could harness the energy from waves that could be fitted with a Hydrogen generator instead of you know, cabling the energy to shore through cables with resistance that reduce the overall efficiency...
