#Halloween costume 10/10

Domain names for mstdn.social, mastodon.coffee & Masto.ai now all have been renewed

This was an extra €250 expense on top of the sever costs.. Please think about helping us out with these bills 💸

Thank you♥️

Oof, I laughed a little too hard

I use 256GB to color in paint, screw you Altman

While i'm at it

It's not for Facebook but for Mastodon posts, maybe they don't kow the difference

That guy really deserves a punch in his face

Over and over

WOW!

I just got a take down request for the post I made with the screenshot of the house of the CEO of Flock :amaze:

Flock tries to take down my post exposing their CEOs house LOL

*THIS IS FOR MASTODON

It's the first of November, that makes mstdn.social exactly 7 years old today! :mastodon:

Onto another 7 years! ❤️ :fediverse:

👻 Happy #Halloween! :meowpumpkin:

It's the end of the month again and it's been a busy one with many patches, server migrations and headaches!

Now is perhaps a good time for a friendly reminder that we do not run ads, do not sell data and do not have any investors

Instead we rely on your donations to keep the lights on❤️

My dear Americans ❤️

When I was a kid I seriously thought that alt right politics was just a joke and people where just trolling

Turns out, people are actually that stupid

I gotta get some sleep :blobcattired: Tomorrow hopefully I’ll finish the sever migration.. :stux: :nkoSleep:

Goodnight my dear friends :mastodon: :fediverse: :blobcathearts: :blobcatsnuggle:

Read something the other day that kinda stuck with me:

“People won’t swim in a pool with a corpse in it but most people do wanna swim in the ocean that definitely has corpses in it. So there is a water to corpse ratio that makes it acceptable”

“Collecting data on your users is cool”

No, it’s not

I think devs can earn more by charging customers to remember their login credentials compared to actual development :neocat_laugh_tears:

The amount of time spend on recovering basic auth credentials for clients is a lifetime!

Currently I’m rebuilding their whole site from WordPress into a dedicated Laravel app for their needs

Since I lose money on hosting their sites I’m not gonna spend a lot of time updating them since they think that’s also free.. so every XX years they need something new

Back in the days I’ve spend a lot of time of free on their stuff but not anymore

I so much rather spend it on you all♥️

omg.. My parents have this vacation home that they rent out at sea and I made the website where people can book etc

Few days ago I moved their site to a new sever since PHP and now they need a new solution for email

They flat out refuse to pay a cent for email.. so I pointed them to Gmail :neofox_facepalm:

They ask 800 euros per week for that vacation home but a few euros per month for mail is too much haha

My parents are boomers who think everything is free on the internet and I hate it

Where are all the #JavaScript haters now uh :blobcatgiggle:

#PHP

Server bills are paid but the account is empty again :neocat_scream_scared:

I could really use your help❤️

It means the world :fediverse:

Personally I would really suggest to them to accept the tax terms we offer..

..if they keep this shit up we'll come with a different offer and I'm sure they won't like that

Remember people, we are with a LOT more
