Someone out there must have built this surely. Is there anything like Facebook's memory feature for the Fediverse that shows you what you posted on this date in previous years?

The Balloon Museum fills 13 rooms with bouncy artworks

A museum that is not a museum has opened in East London – as it’s really a bouncy playground for families.

One of my least favorite features of Mastodon is how it makes typos appear in posts after they’re boosted. I don’t know why they built it that way. They should really fix that.

An Island fox, living on the Channel Islands of California. There are six subspecies, each unique to the island it lives on, reflecting its evolutionary history. They are generally docile, show little fear of humans, and are easily tamed.

Good morning Fediversistas! We walk out under grey skies, to an indifferent morning, the clouds care nothing for us, nor the autumnal leaves that carpet the paths through the woods, only the geese greet us, honking a welcome for their breakfast; we are grateful for their company, and share some food with them, and we are grateful for the new day, and we walk on

Breaking Baaad

Four years ago today, I started moving over to Mastodon in a panic as things went downhill on the other place. And then I think it took a few months to really make the switch. Every day though? I’m glad I’m here because I learn really interesting things & enjoy people’s deeply esoteric interests and intense craft (and other hobby) projects. Thanks for sharing & for making this an interesting place!

What do you look for in a potential partner?

There's a competition to name a satellite that will remove debris from orbit. Good for making orbit safer, BUT it just chucks it into the atmosphere, making metal-vapour pollution or hitting the ground. Fediverse, you are so creatively sarcastic, I think many of you could have some very good submissions here!

(I'm not saying this is a bad idea, it's just that with better regulation and better engineering of satellites, we wouldn't have this problem in the first place)

Rivals to Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition of extremists have reached an agreement to form a coalition of 67 votes, past the 61-vote majority threshold.

The two largest Arab parties signed on with banning Netanyahu their top condition.

The agreement must be certified by Israeli president Isaac Herzog, which seems almost certain. Once that's done, the parties will need to adopt official positions for the government.

Netanyahu for prison is going to happen:

I imagine Tibetan Buddhist monks sitting there doing deep throat singing "Meow" instead of "Aum". That would be a practice I would follow.

We had someone in again last week to try and sort out the problem where some of the electrics trip and it’s mostly (but not always!) when the boiler is running. Tom estimates we have spent about £900 over the years getting different people out and paying for parts to be replaced.

Everyone has a different theory but we pinned our hopes on this last guy as he was a specialist in thermal stores. He replaced two pumps, putting his money on one of them being the culprit. We’ve switched the heating on this evening for the first time this autumn and it’s tripped twice already.

I honestly don’t know what we can do going forward.

Her: are you .... she/her or she/they?

Me: I'm just they but if you need to use she you can.

Her: did you think because I'm old I won't remember?

Me: no, of course not, I just think you shouldn't feel bad if you don't want to commit it to memory as I'm just here to help you with crafts and not like a daily visitor

Her: oh, well I've never met a LGBT person

Me: oh well it's nice to meet you!
