One of my very favourite cartoons, ever.

It's funny.

News reports simultaneously saying the Pope "spent a tranquil night" whilst also being "in a critical condition".

As an ICU nurse I can tell you if he is critical and tranquil, it's because he's ventilated and sedated.

#Pope

DON'T DO IT.

If you are told to scrub words or acronyms from a federal government website, say NO.

If they sack you or forcibly remove you from the department, let them.

They won't get people employed quickly enough (if at all) to do their bidding.

Unless you want to become one of those people who are seen to be siding with the nazis, DON'T DO IT.

JUST DON'T DO IT.

DO NOT COMPLY.

#TrumpDictatorship

I've gone ahead and muted the words trump and musk. Can't deal with any of it.

Timeline will probably grind to a halt. So be it.

#TrumpDictatorship

Oh.

Just sold an item on Gumtree for $35. When I was packing it up for them, I broke a very small piece that could be easily repaired, so I told him this and took $5 off the price.

He said no, don't worry and gave me $40. I said hold on and I'll get you some change. He insisted that I keep the $40.

I've come back upstairs and burst into tears.

Huh.

Dearest, lovely, wonderful @feditips could I please suggest that all notifications are collated (as on that horrible, awful, other site...I'm sorry!) so that you don't get miles of likes and boosts in your notifications? Thank you!

I am mostly here these days, as the #birdsite has become untenable. I've realised that the task given to Musk has now been delivered. The plan was always to destroy Twitter, so there was no one place that people could go to get accurate information, to connect with intelligent and knowledgeable people and to really understand what is happening in the world. Sure, some great people and accounts are here, but not everyone. I feel so disconnected now. So, the plan worked.
EDIT 9Nov24 here now good!

If we consider even 40% of the world population has had #COVID19 at least once, that is 40% of all people have some level of brain damage. From #brainfog to #dementia.
Are we taking this into consideration?
They're running government, driving trains & buses, flying planes, performing surgery. I think it's time we start giving serious consideration to the fact that many people we rely on are most likely brain damaged to some degree & possibly shouldn't be in their jobs.
#COVIDbrain

In case it wasn't clear, until we #StopCOVIDtransmission via
#WearaN95mask
#ventilation
and reduce risk of severe illness/death via
#vaccination
nothing else will matter.
Nothing.
Not a thing.
Seriously. Nothing.
