This is a long shot but I wonder if anyone can help with the name or author of a children's story?

It's from a long time ago and the story is about a girl who has long dark hair. She covers the land with it (her hair) causing nighttime to fall. I don't recall how it ends. 🤔

If anyone has an idea of which story this is, or which it might possibly be, I'd really appreciate knowing.

Thank you all and boosts would really be appreciated 🤗

It's sad that blind people or those with with sight problems miss out on so much because some folk don't bother with Alt Text on their images.

It takes only a moment to do and yet it makes those images available to everyone.
