There's major road construction in my neighborhood, but not this weekend cuz of the holiday. A friend and I went wandering through the giant concrete tubes 😝

Cops in LA have killed yet another man, and the wheels of justice turn oh so slowly, if at all.

Started looking through my followings and unfollowing folks who haven't posted in ~a year.

Anyone know how to unfollow accounts have no longer exist?
@FediTips ?

Slept horribly last night, and spending today feeling like garbage. Sasha has been *on* me non stop so I must be giving off "something's wrong" vibes.

If I think of any others I'll add them 😁

I got so excited because that "realistic cartoon" style was exactly what I was looking for. I reached out to @zizudraws to see if their commissions were open and she said yes!!

A short 15 days, and 6 hours of drawing time later, I have my art.

SQUEEEEEE!

Friends, Romans, Countrymen lend me your eyes! (with apologies to Shakespeare)

Ok so literal decades ago I came up with an idea for a tattoo that I wanted, and off and on over the years I've attempted to create it myself, have a friend create it, find something close enough on the www places, and find a tattoo artist who works in the style I wanted. I never succeeded.

Here on the Fediverse I found my artist!
I saw this post:

Ooh! Thanks to @pigeonpaints to making me aware - ya'll, you have a chance to make a comic anthology by all black women come to be! It needs to fund by July 20 so jump on it if you can 😄

I get to post my first #FungiFriday as far as I remember!

Found this family in my front yard. iNaturalist tells me it's some sort of inkcap. It's beautiful whatever it is!

A friend of mine's daughter is a survivor and they're raising money to fight childhood cancer.

If you can help that would be lovely.

Anyone out there aware of a medicine tracking app that isn't based on clock time, but is instead based on a button push/cycle start?

Eg. You must take this pill 30 minutes after that pill but before eating - so you hit a button when you wake up and it'll say take pill A, and then in 30 minutes a reminder goes off to take pill B, then it'll say go eat breakfast.

Moved into this house a couple years ago. We knew the door tio the staircase was too short so ripped out the header in probably the first 6 months...and then it sat there, wood/nails exposed, for FAR too long.
I finally got the spark to get it finished! It still needs plaster and paint but the tear out & rebuild is complete 😄

Y'all US folks need to go to ssa.gov and download the .pdf of your earnings statements.
Hopefully it will not matter, but with the way things are looking in DC having a written record might mean the difference between being able to prove your earnings to the next govt and... not.

It's a frickin' winter wonderland!

People talk about the cat distribution system, but as I've never gone more than a few months without one in my life I'd never been a recipient...until now.

Last night coming home there was a kitten crying on my neighbour's porch. A probably 6mos dilute orange and white kitten came quickly when I psp psp psp'd at her. I checked with the neighbours and she wasn't theirs, per the vet she has no chip, and my SO has fallen in love. So we have 3 cats now :-)

Meet Gingerbread 🧡

To the vet on Monday.
