Here's why garment factory workers in Bangladesh are striking:
Take a woman working a 12-hour shift in a textile factory in Bangladesh. During her shift she sews more than 150-200 t-shirts for Zara, Levis, Walmart and H&M. Her pay for the entire day? Less than $5.
H&M takes those shirts and sells them to European consumers for more than €20 each. That's over €4,000 in retail value. Generated by her hands. In a single day.
H&M runs massive ad campaigns in Europe talking about "conscious" fashion and "sustainability." But there's nothing sustainable about a system that uses their workers up like a cheap commodity.
This is why Bangladeshi workers are shutting down garment factories all over the country. They aren't just asking for a few extra cents. They are striking for the right to be treated like human beings.

Literally write the mean thought on a
piece of paper, crumble it up, and
throw it in the trash.
The physical act of "tossing" the
thought tells your brain it's no longer
useful.
4. "Third-Person" Narration:
Talk to yourself like a documentary
narrator: "| am noticing that [Your
Name] is feeling very rejected right
now because of a typo."
This frees YOU from the feeling.](https://cdn.hosted.spacebear.ee/sb-7b2d27351eba9a966203763ca7c745fe/cache/media_attachments/files/117/174/101/866/886/150/small/5b0f4a50e5c5ccb5.png)
