I'm exhausted. Getting asimple dental cleaning is emotionally and mentally draining.

I wanted to attempt cutting acrossthe end grain, this... went about as well as you'd expect. I am timid with the blade, but hello,s harp as heck object. I used my cut resistant glove, naturally. But int he end I got ac ouple curls of shaving, and the spot where I did that right felt satinysmooth. I could feel fairly easily how the wood fights when you go against the grain or across it. Baby steps, baby steps. I spent aobut 20 minutes and shaved a 2-3mm wide space on two of the cube edges?

So, I was going to start practice on whittling Sunday. I slept well, so I pulled out my blade, tsropped it, put out my mess mat, best thinge ver by the way, and started. Discouraging first start but it is my *first* try. I already felt what itfeels like to go against thegrain and with. I even got acute curly shaving for my trouble, a thin piece from a corner as I started to get rid of the sharp angled edge on one face of a 2x2x2 cube. #Whittling #WoodCarving #WoodWorking

I also simply deleted and reportedas spam because FFS. I'llbeglad when Tuesday is over and these political spam texs can GTFO.

Just had a spam text message that was simply something like "A prayer is waiting for you, Sarah, go pray withTrump" and had a pray for 2026 website BS URL orsomething. I actually yelled at my phone "Go fuck yourself".

Well fuck me running, Sir Patrick Stewart died... I really hope we don't lose a Voyager actor next for a trifecta.

Read so fast tonight in Braille practice that my index finger got abit numb, had to switch to my left hand to double check some characters. Ran into 'These' for the fist time tonight and words like 'their' and 'were' weren't giving me a momentary pause as I parced them. So... accomplishment! Practice makes perfect. Now if I can just do this in other areas like exercise and get back to doing that regularly.

The word "T-shirt" In braille is a bit of a pain in the arse. Ithought the dot 56 came afterward to denote non-contracted actual letter, but in this case it was dots 56, dot 6, dots 2345 and the rest of the word in T-shirt, dash included. I had to admittedly look this up int he text because I could not parce what the heck it meant. But eh... now I know that word is a fun one. Dead is also another fun Braille word. Needed still makes my head explode alittle.

our cat Kayla is such alittle derpface, she evidently snuck out onto the sunroom when mom brought us drinks and got garbage. She has been out there all day since before noon. Sigh. thankfully she has a litter box out there and it was warmer today. Little idiot doesn't bother to scratch at the door either, she just probably enjoyed napping all day out there.

Found out today that my junior senior high school I graduated from and spent from 7th to 12th grade in is being demolished and rebuilt. I guess part of it has been torn down and rebuilt on site but the main building is finally being taken down startingtoday. The main building was built in the late 60's the Media Centera nd 7th and 8th grade buildig were built in around 2000 or so. I'm sad for the murials that were painted in my time there because they are now all likely gone.

Woot woot woot! Wordle in 3 today! Nailed all five letters in two, hand first and third figured out for sure, needed to put the rest together. Partner supplied the answer after thinking aobut it. Yay!

Sometimes I Wish I could entirely erase memories of reading certain books so I can enjoy the pleasure and joy of reading them the first time again. Same with some TV shows and movies.

Braille practice tonight exposed me to the + sign and = sign in UEB braille, that one required me to look it up in the book because I was not anticipating mathematical symbols but words there, but no, they are specifically the symbols. "Murderbot + actual huamn = awkwardness." Gotta love me some Murderbot Diaries.

So, we made knockwurst for dinner with garden pasta salad and loaded potato salad with cornbread. But small problem, I could not find my muffin tin, so I used my silicone donut tin instead. Cornbread donuts FTW, they were thes weet kind too.

I have so many books on Bookshare and in my Kindle Library I want to read. It encourages me to practice my Braille reading very day because I want to be able to read again. It is nice being able to read in my own thead, so to speak, and it is nice to read while listening to something too because I can do that with Braille where Ican't with two audio saurces. I really do miss reading in my own head voice and Braille lets me do that, even though I'm still slow.

It is arandomly good feelingto get so sucked into avideo game you forget to listen for updates to the Walmart grocery delivery you are supposed to have coming up soon. Thankfully only substitutions and I didn't missthe delivery text but yeah... Cult of the Lamb has done this and I love it. It has been awhile since ihave gottent hat focused in agame to lose track of time.

Loving having so many games to play now. I'm enjoying Moonlight Peaks when ican play it, graveyard Keeper, and Cult of the Lamb, still loving Rimworld too, but ive been busy testing other games. Darkest Dungeon as well. Also loving Cook Serve Delicious 3 as well. Going to be playing more Rimworld soon and keepup with the spooky month games. CotL. MP and GYK will be top of the list for sure there.

Well, this is... not promising so far, the keystrokes just don't work to hide the window, none of the invisible interface keystrokes work at all, not even the one bound in the keyboard manager to hide the window... Latest release of it too from the Github.
