Gosh I can't wait to watch this, and it has a disabled cast! https://tv.apple.com/us/movie/being-heumann/umc.cmc.5gf63v7zj97yiozkpj26lpy55 #Disability #Deaf #Blind

Looking at hosting a #Bonfire or #Wafrn for my Drafty Writers Group. Anywhere that hosts these things for me? Actually, a blogging space would be vastly better, but #WriteFreely has so many accessibility problems I never want to use it again. What other new long form blogging things exist? Something where others can see the blogs and stuff but can never join our instance? #AskFedi #Fediverse

Snagged from discord, far too cute not to share.

Please let me know if you know the source.

Again, #Wordpress shows that they don't understand what a blog is. Also, why is this on by default? Oh wait, I know why! Tech dudes don't know what 'opt in' means! https://make.wordpress.org/core/2026/11/05/your-content-is-going-to-get-more-random/

I've restored some changes on to of Mastodon v5, like using an icon with two check marks for "mark as read" instead of always showing a "0 unread" bar and a text label for "mark as read" (issue opened: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/41579).

Mastodon v5 has some good UI stuff, but some changes are really unnecessary and bad for UX. Having my most-used feature, the notifications button, at the bottom is messing with my muscle memory. I'll get used to some changes, others not at all, and some honestly need fixing and more work. Glad we have the fork - we already have a dozen features that are either restored or custom.

The fact that Talib Kweli is acting like a boomer for been upset over us criticizing capitalism & say "oh but you all participate in it" is some weak shit.

*sigh* authors can we just not be dicks for a while? This is why no one takes you seriously when you object to AI training of *your* work https://bsky.app/profile/poormojo.bsky.social/post/3mzgjtudnhc2b #AI #FuckAI #NoAI

Friend to me, did you hear about the football game? Me. Is that a new PlayStation game where characters shoot lasers out of their feet? That's how knowledgeable I am on sports. #Sport #Sports

Systems programming software: (is mostly written in well-specified, simple languages for which multiple implementations exist, allowing you to pivot from one vendor to another if needed)

Software industry: (is pivoting hard to the destruction of the commons through matrix multiplication)

Certain people who end up in my mentions: "HURRY, GUYS! We need to rewrite everything in a complex incompletely-specified language with one viable implementation/package ecosystem, controlled by a single team that includes AI boosters, and is currently in the news for DHH vibing in it. No time to lose, it's for the secure future of computing."

I love the Romances I'm doing! Interviewing for these is tough work though. I'm sure there's other authors doing disability Romances but I feel passionate about these so wanted to do them. Romances with love interests with Coprolalia and DID and lesser known disabilities. Cerebral palsy, and others. I had to put two books aside because the projects were a tad too ambitious for me, but I hope when I've grown in fiction writing, I can come back to these stories. I'm doing things such as love interests with people that are allergic to light. Love interests that are housebound and or bed bound. I don’t want to talk about the two projects I had to stop, but I'm having worlds of fun with these. I interview a *LOT* of people and it makes all these stories better for it! #Romance #RomanceLandia

Of course the SlopBros And AI boosters won, in a way. They have venture capital and we do not. This is why community ran sanctuaries are especially important. My drafty writers group is still going strong. This is our origin story. Https://sightlessscribbles.com/the-colonization-of-confidence/ #NoLLM #NoAI #FuckAI
