We’ve heard on @atpfm many times about how @siracusa organizes his iPhone icons/screens. It occurred to me today when listening to Episode 616 and John mentioned “promoting” an app based on use frequency that he is essentially doing a modified LZW compression, but instead of minimizing data size, he’s minimizing taps. It makes me curious if there is a spreadsheet with estimated use rates for each app and any actual computation that helps optimize John’s icon layout or is it just done by feel?

In Ep #247 of Robot or not, @siracusa referenced a “head” of garlic. I’ve always heard it called a clove of garlic or a toe. What makes something a head VS clove?
