Day 1 in the books! ~2000/50,000 isn't bad for my first attempt since '19, by cracky.

(I will tag everything #NaNoWriMo and maybe even #SquatchNoWriMo for E-Z muting, since I know this stuff can get insufferable pretty quick.)

Looks like lots of interesting links here, many of which lead to orgs that I assume accept donations...

I think it's important to help folks who have decided their best move is to get out of Kansas AND to support people who can't/don't want to leave, or at least need to stay in Kansas for the foreseeable future. So I'd love to see $ going to both types of orgs. Some I've seen on Bluesky and Mastodon today:

You are welcome to tell me if you have a question you'd like me to keep in mind for your reading, or you can keep your q. private and just see what the cards have to say. Whatever you are comfortable with!

Or, if you don't have a question, you can simply be open to a ✨message from the universe✨

DM me a screenshot of your donation receipt or post it as a reply. Depending on your preference, I can either post your reading here on the 'don or email it to you if you're comfortable DMing me an email address. (I know that can get a little iffy on Mastodon since DMs aren't the most secure, but I set up a dedicated email address for this stuff and am happy to share it with a donor via DM so they can email me first. We'll work it out!)

• $1 - $74 gets you a five-card reading
• For $75+ I'll do a ten-card celtic cross

🪄☕🗡️🪙

Mastodon, do you crave mystical insights via cartomancy? Do you have $ to donate to orgs helping trans folks in Kansas? Gimme a screenshot of a donation & I will post or email you your very own tarot reading.

Details & a couple suggested orgs to come in comments, stand by...

I should note that two of my coworkers deserve co-credit for the concept. I shouldn't hog the glory

Also, the best idea I've ever had? A "Why This Shit's All Fucked Up" walking tour, not unlike a ghost tour, but led by a pair of urban planners who can explain why the infrastructure is Like That

If you have a specific question or situation you'd like me to consider in my reading, LMK (caveat that I may not be able to respond super quickly, so if your need for Mystical Insights is time-sensitive this might not be the best way to get a reading.) Otherwise, querents will receive a ✨Message from the Universe✨

(If you have a specific question, you don't have to tell me! You can just see if the reading hits in a helpful way.)

Guess I'll pin this for a little while as an offer: comment below if you'd like a three-card #tarot or #oracle reading from a randomly selected deck (or if you really want a reading from one of the pictured decks just tell me which one.)

I'm going to make a sincere effort to do this more or less weekly. I'll get to requests on a first-come, first-serve basis as I'm able, & unless the querent requests otherwise I'll post them here on Mastodon.

Woke up from a beautiful dream about taking public transit

This is what the #tarot journal looks like. Kinda structured, which I think I like for these purposes.

Maybe, since I fortuitously have an equal number of tarot and #oracle decks, I should pair them up and figure out a schedule to do two three-card readings, one tarot and one oracle, and, like, journal about them. Hmm.

Need to figure out the, you know, cadence. Late winter/spring is going to be bonkers at work so I don't want to overcommit to a thinky endeavor. Hmm. Once/week?

Thinking journal thoughts reminds me I've been meaning to refine my vague "get acquainted with the decks I own but haven't really touched yet" resolution into something more actionable.

Just went upstairs to assess the situation and can report I have five (5) virtually untouched #tarot decks and five (5) virtually untouched #oracle decks.

Ruminating on how to incorporate the (also untouched!) tarot journal I bought from Barnes & Noble a million (1,000,000) years ago.
